The Art of Kung Fu Panda 3 Hardcover – January 1, 2016

This is a great addition to my art book collection!! It’s beautiful and has amazing details about the behind the scenes (pre production) side of the movie. It has some cool features and sketches of the characters and some story board sections too! Please get this book before it sells out. The other Kung Fu Panda books are pretty expensive so this is a great price.

This is one of my favorite books in my "Art of [insert animated movie here]" collection. It is printed beautifully, written well, and contains tons of stunning art. Being a sequel, this book also sets itself apart from many "Art of" books because rather than putting a lot of focus on stylistic development, it can get more in depth into things like lighting, color, composition, tight character design, storyboarding, further worldbuilding, etc.This book is jam packed with quality art and is split into a character section and a location section. If you are a fan of Nico Marlet, this book is practically mandatory because his designs appear on nearly every page in the character half of the book. There are even a few double page spreads of only Marlet's work! I don't normally go in for the environment side as much usually, because if handled poorly the presentation can become a little repetitive and technical, but the work shown in The Art of Kung Fu Panda 3 is solid. The location section here is kind of a mix of environment design, asset design, and shot/composition exploration.Geez, can you tell I love this book?

I love the book!!! Is everything I expected and beyond!! This is my favorite pixar movie with the best message and to have this book on my hands made me cry of joy, the art is amazing! I'm a graphic designer and ux and the content is really great! I love Kung Fu Panda art!!!

Che dire, questo artbook è straordinario!Il libro è in inglese ma si segue facilmente, specialmente per gli appassionati del settore!Tutti gli studi all'interno sono straordinari...Ci sono tavole fantastiche in silhouettes per gli ambienti, giochi di prospettiva, un uso del colore magistrale, tantissimi studi dei personaggi con diverse pose, utili per gli animatori... e ancora, tavole che richiamano le locandine e le pergamene cinesi, il color script con le pagine che si aprono, pezzi di storyboard e stralci di utensili, materiali e props.Io l'ho preso soprattutto per la parte dedicata ai personaggi, ma mi sono innamorato di tutto!Lo consiglio vivamente, specialmente agli appassionati del film e a chiunque studi arte, animazione, illustrazione, character design, concept art, backgrounds, storyboard e modellazione 3D.

Si te gusta la animación y dibujar personajes, este libro te va a flipar creo que es el mejor de los 3 que han sacado.

Although I personally feel that the movie itself was not as good as the second one, The Art of Kung Fu Panda 3 is probably one of the best Art of Book I have, to date. It was my first DreamWorks Art of book and I noticed that it's about an inch greater in height than the ones published by Chronicle Books, which I liked. I also liked that it was so packed with stunning artwork with very little white-space, which I think is how an Art of book should be. The colours in the artwork are so vibrant and graphic that you want to sit and study each piece for hours on end. I was also very pleased to read and see more about the technical aspects of the movie, which I feel is important to include in Art of books for computer animated movies. Overall, a great purchase that I'd highly recommend.

2016年公開（日本では劇場未公開らしいですが）カンフーパンダ３のアートワークス本で、アニメーション用の3Dモデルを作る際のデザイン画や舞台デザインが収録されています。内容的には作画されたデザイン画がメインで、フルカラーのストーリーボードっぽいページもあり、画集として観ても楽しい内容です。作品が好きな方なら楽しめるでしょう。但し、一本目の映画からほぼ変わっていないからか、メインキャラクターに割いているページは（一通りあるものの）少なく、カンフーパンダ３で初登場したキャラクターが多め。舞台デザインも同様な感じです。なので主人公Poのデザイン等を多く見たければ The art of Kung Fu Panda （既に絶版の様ですが）を入手した方が良いです。同様にカンフーパンダ２の本も出版されていて、此方も内容は素晴らしいです。
