Coleman OneSource Rechargeable Battery Pack and Charger

We recently put our Coleman OneSource system to the test with an extended power outage, and I have mixed feelings about the whole system.The batteries *do* last quite a long time, and the dual USB output is a nice backup. But both of our charged batteries had lost about a third of their charge sitting on the shelf for three months. That's a bit lossy.The dual charger here, which I bought to allow quick recharges external to the, perhaps with an eye towards buying other items in the OneSource system, does not seem to charge as rapidly as one would like. I can't tell you that for sure, because you have to check each battery individually to see whether it's at three (only three? five would be better) LED bars, there being no LED indicator on the charger itself to even indicate it's charging correctly. That is a serious problem, IMHO, which needs to be addressed with a redesign.Because the lantern is well built and the waterproof level seems legit, we're happy enough with the option, but I'm still looking for the perfect emergency lighting scheme, and am still having doubts about a proprietary and pretty expensive system compared to simply buying throwaway batteries periodically. The latter seems wasteful but without more assurance that the charges on the OneSource batteries are going to remain full, and can be replenished quickly, it seems like a matter of convenience and not a superior general solution.

The flashlights last forever it seems with the charge from these batteries. Saved us a ton of money. We use the flashlight nightly because we have to take our dogs out on a leash to do their business and we need the flashlights to make sure we do not step on a rattle snake! Thank you Coleman!!!! So glad we found this. Before we did, we were going through so many of the 3V batteries and it was costing quite a bit. These batteries (Coleman) hold their charge a long time and we loved them so much that we bought them for everyone in the family for Christmas. They (the kids) thought it was funny that they were getting this, but….. you know parents…. Functional and when we find something we like, we make sure the kids get one as well.This is a great purchase. I heard though that they might not be making more…. If you can get what you need, better do it soon. I’m not sure if that is correct or not; Anyway…. We love this flashlight.

I needed some extra batteries and these are perfect

Bought as a returned item/damaged box. It came pretty much brand new.. the charger case was separated at its seam but a cpl drops of superglue and it was perfect.

Does NOT work with the Coleman OneSource quick charging station batteries! First set didn’t work, asked for a replacement from Amazon. The second set didn’t work either. Do not buy the extra batteries!!!!!! The fan with the battery is comes with seems to work fine.

Thought I was buying a Coleman rechargeable battery and charging dock, but ended up getting a leaky battery, bunch of random usb cables and a random mirror mount for a radar. This is the second time I buy form the Amazon warehouse and end up getting the trash someone returned cause people don't do their job checking returns. First time I bought the Coleman OneSource tent and someone had gutted it and then returned it, it came with nearly none of the rods, no lights, no fan or battery etc. The service seems to have really gotten worse.

I sent this back - not worth your money!
