Good option for allergic cat
Our latest rescue cat, Abigail, is the challenge of all challenges. She had skin issues when we got her and after blood work, X rays and allergy testing, we found that not only does she have many allergies, she has had a pretty sad life. Her back had been broken in 2 places and healed on it's own leaving her spine a little crooked, but that's another story. She has allergies to canola, salmon and sunflower oil which makes is practically impossible to find a food she can eat. Let alone finding one she WILL eat. On top of all that she is the most particular cat we have ever owned, but her sweetness is also top class. The only dry food she can and will eat is the Natural Balance dry duck/peas and even though it has canola oil in it she seems to do alright. It's the least objectionable we can give her at this point. I wanted to get more moisture in her, but she has fought us on that tooth and nail. If she will even lick or nibble a food, we call it a success. This one is a success. Hopefully someday we will get her to eat more canned, but right now we have to be happy with any progress we can find. The texture is very moist, but she enjoys that. After it is refrigerated it is easy to cut into little chunks and warm it in the microwave for about 6 or 7 seconds for the tablespoon she eats. Hopefully her quantity will increase, but as long as she has anything to do with it, we will continue to buy this and consider it a good option for our Abby.

Black grit and bone?
Update: I recently switched to the Rabbit formula (because Amazon kept sending me rabbit when they were supposed to be replacing the bad cases of duck, so I had to.) The rabbit formula is much better quality. I’m still finding bits of bone(?) here and there and haven’t heard back from Wysong about it, so I still can’t give 5 stars, but I think I may at least be able to continue feeding this brand.I did like this food for my cats because it doesn’t have a bunch of fillers or byproducts in it. The duck formula is relatively low in phosphorus and has been a good alternative to prescription urinary care foods. Unfortunately within the last 6 to 8 months, I’ve been getting really poor batches of this food more often then not. I’ve been finding hard black grit and pieces of white stuff that look like cartilage or bone. This food was our saving grace but it looks like I’ll have to home cook from now on.

Beat canned food for dogs!
By far my dogs love this better than anything I’ve tried and I’ve tried MANY! It smells better to the human nose than others as well. It’s now the only brand I’ll buy.

Wysong Epigen Duck Feline Canned Food
My four and a half month old kitten loves the Epigen Duck formula. I started out introducing it slowly at first because he was being fed an entirely different brand when we first adopted him. Just recently I've started adding a few small chunks of Wysong's Archetype Quail to the canned duck to slowly introduce him to raw food and it's benefits. He has had no tummy upsets and/or loose stools and is doing very well on this combination. I think he actually enjoys the Epigen duck formula more with the Quail bits added than without!

None of my cats would eat this.
I use one of the wysong dry foods, but none of my cats, including my foster who eats anything, would eat this food. So now I have a whole wasted case. I think it's a good company, with good ingredients, but this was a big waste of money.

My cat (and now my dog) love it!
My kitty loves the duck and salmon. Actually, he'll eat all the varieties, but those two are his favs. I love it because his stools are firm and low odor on this brand compared to others. I have switched my dog to Wysong because she would only want to eat kitty's food. I highly recommend -- excellent and high quality product.
