The rack looks more like a hanger. The food bags will be free under water. How does it work? I am undecide whether buy this or not because of the rack

The rack sits fixed just below the lid. It keeps the sealed bags from floating above the rack. You must fill the container full, above the rack for it to work. I wish that it could do the same at different levels so that you could reduce amount of water in the container. But it does work. The bags are free to move about below the rack and water level. I do like the clear container and the ability to see the water level and the packages.

Does this fit the $399 Anova Pro?

I have the New Anova Precision Cooker which is smaller than my first one. I seem to remember when I was shopping for this that it is supposed to fit ALL Anova cookers.

Are trivets required? product info says no, instruction sheet with item says yes!

The bottom has kind of a built in trivet. It’s raised with ridges, hard to explain. I still use a cork pad underneath to be safe. It’s so roomy and the top has a rubber gasket. I’m very happy with it.

what is the measurement of the opening in the plastic lid? what is it with the seal?

The opening measures 3” wide by 3 3/4” long and is not removable. The gasket opening measures 1 1/4” wide by 2 3/4” long.
