so personally i love this grate plate. It tackles garlic and ginger beautifully and i love being able to include these fresh aromatics in my cooking.its easy to clean, all you really need to do is run it under water and wipe a sponge with some soap over it, its also dishwasher safe if you have sponges that are prone to shredding.The best way to use this plate is small circular motions anywhere on the plate, the whole grating area works beautifully and the small moat around the edge of the plate can hold a lot of grated material.A WARNING THOUGHthis is a grate platemeaning it works like a grater, meaning if you run your fingers into it it WILL hurt. So just like a regular cheese grater please be careful when using.As for ease of holding if you've got wet hands then the plate can be pretty easy to mismanage. Adults with weak grasp strength or weaker muscles shouldn't hold the plate and use it at the same time. I suggest resting it on a towel and pinning it to the counter/table over the little hanging tab that the plate comes with.but overall i love this dish and give it 5 stars

I bought this to grate ginger! I absolutely love it. So nice that collects all the juice as well. Highly recommend!

I got a chance to take it for a test run and can attest it works great for garlic cloves and ginger (the smaller the piece gets, the harder it is to grate, but that's a given). A lot of the garlic and ginger did get stuck in the "teeth" but I'm not sure how else they can design it to work where it doesn't. Rinsing with hot water took care of the cleaning portion, but if you want to clean it more, I suggest a stiff bristle brush made for pots/pans or a toothbrush. I like the look and feel of the ceramic as it is well-made.

It is a good quality product. It does the job. However, it is tiny in size. Honestly, too small for the price. It is not easy to hold because the handles are small.

This really does a great job grating fresh ginger and I love that it collects the ginger juice! There have been comments about not being able to get all of the ginger out of the grates which is true but I just used a little water or any other liquid you are using in your recipe and “rinse” it and it comes right out!

It’s a very well made. However its size is too big for its function. I wish it can be made way smaller to save storage space. Another improvement in design is that, I wish the dotted portion is at the bottom of the dish, instead of projecting out on the top. The quality is very good and you get two in the package

I accidentally broke the expensive ceramic one I had at work and was looking for something cheaper and reliable. This was definitely a great choice! It was two times cheaper but worked a lot better than the one I broke. I would definitely recommend this product!

Far more easy to use than a steel one. It works great on ginger!!

It was placed on a level surface and broken into half by a small object falling on it. That force wouldn't even break a mirror or glass. To be honest it was too fragile. Now I am so delicate using it. I think that's why it comes in a package of two.

I love this item, but it’s very hard to get the ginger you just grated out of the grater! I use a brush that I clean straws with to get it all out. I’d love to know a better way?

Haven't try it yet but looks durable.
