Perfect addition to your camera for a serious photographer!
A great aid in fining your shutter button in a hurry. But buy several as backups since the adhesive is not as strong as it could be, and under severe use, the button will come off.

Work great
I first saw these on another site and thought it was a gimmick and didn't give it a second thought. Then a couple of months later I ran across them again, this time being reviewed on a photography site. The reviewer had the same initial reaction to them that I did, that they were a waste. However, he tried them out and was immediately impressed with them.I decided to give them a try, especially since I frequently take pictures outside in the freezing cold.Even though they're easy to install it does take a little bit of care to make sure that they're centered on the shutter button. I messed up the first one ever so slightly and since I'm a perfectionist, I had to take it off and use the other one, which I was able to center perfectly.I instantly loved the feel of this on the shutter of my 5DMII. It adds a nice tactile feel to the shutter and makes the half press that much easier. Having used them in the cold quite a bit, I can say they're a great addition and make using the camera in sub freezing temperatures a lot easier. As far as durability, I can say that I haven't had a single issue with it coming off and its been on my camera for about 12 months now.

High Volume Action Sports Photographer's Review of Custom SLR ProDot Shutter Button Upgrade.
Why one star when this product is AWESOME? Because it's only awesome while it lasts. I'm a professional sports photographer who shoots high volume daily. Mine lasted 2 days. The first one (back-button) fell off before the end of my first day of shooting with it - 2 games in two towns. Gone before end of first game. Second one fell off after first game the following day. YIPES.)This is about the first set I ordered, that is. I liked it so much after the first day I ordered a second pair - which never arrived. Tracking claimed it ended up on my doorstep, which is not true at all. Amazon replaced the money, though this is sold by someone else. I just ordered 2 more pair for my full-frame (on the higher end bodies there are two sets of shutter/back-buttons).I just placed an order for 2 more pair. I will be using gorilla-glue to secure these to the camera. I go through a camera body every 2 years so I am not concerned about resale of the body. Why do I keep buying this? As a high volume professional sports photographer, I can take literally 500-1K camera actuations a day. At national events, more than that. My setup consists of 25lbs of Nikon Beast-Mode. These little pads really do help with my right hand and keeps the pain from setting in too quickly.Great product, the glue isn't worth a darn, so 1 star.UPDATE: 10.-6.2014I received the 4th order of DOTS on Thursday, Sept. 30.2014. I added these buttons to my DSLR with SUPERGLUE and let it set till more than enough time to dry. The back=button focus dot - complete with superglue - came off within 10 clicks of the back-button. The top dot stuck for 6 days. During this time, I did 1 event and 10 sporting events.I am going to attempt to get a refund, but not exactly sure how that will fly since the dots didn't stick? It's not like they came off when I was using them, I'd of felt that.

Perfect for numb fingertips
Bought these because I can't feel the button on my camera. They work perfect for my numb fingertips. Only complaint is that they don't stay on long and there are only 2 per package. Wish they came in larger quantities.

Work great with gloves
The shutter release application topper really makes it much easier to find the button and particularly when you're wearing gloves in cold weather.

Surprisingly Useful
I am using 4 of these. I have one on my Nikon D750, one on my Canon 1200D and they really work great, giving extra grip and making it easier to instinctively feel the button without fumbling to get the best positioning over the button. However the most useful things I found these ProDots on are a Point & Shoot Canon compact (sx270hs) and my old film 35mm Yashica Fx-D. On the Canon it makes it much easier to half depress the shutter button to autofocus, making it much less likely to accidentally take a photo instead of autofucsing. On the Yashica, it really helps as well, because the shutter button sits in the middle of a shutter speed dial and is very low profile. The extra height added to makes it much more responsive when you are trying to take a shot. I wanted to add one to my Panasonic Mirrorless GF7, however the shutter button on it is smaller then standard so it would overlap with power switch ring, so just be aware that it will not work will all sizes of shutter buttons.

Not sticky enough
I love being able to find the shutter button quickly but they do not stay on all that well.

Cool nifty addition to your dslr..one downside :)
Easy to install and feel's great. I had it installed on my Nikon D7000, i got the black one so it blends well with the black shutter release button. I liked that the shutter now is taller because of the pro dot. The texture and feel is amazing, makes me want to squeeze and take the picture a lot more. One downside is that i find myself playing with the dot with my index finger even when not shooting..forming a bad habit. Just kidding, anyway, I did feel it made my shooting with shutter presses a lot more enjoyable. Also, it was fun handing over my camera to my friend and when they shoot, they are like, what is that?!! question in good way. Go get one for your dSLR you will like it!
