My children loved this story two and a half decades ago. I am still buying it as a children's gift whenever I find a child who does not know the book - and it never disappoints. A classic.

I loved this book as a child. A bit sad that the book size is very small - this wasn't clear - but quality is good.

Timeless classic. Love the illustrations, should be in the library of all young readers.

An enchanting little book dating from a more innocent time for children in the sixties.A little girl has a problem; she doesn't know what to give her mother for her birthday, and unlike today when kids are rolling around in money, as most kids back then, doubtless this little girl has none at all... Never fear, for quite a large rabbit (as tall as the child herself!) comes to the rescue with some amusing suggestions as they stroll through the woods.Pictures are enchanting, and the story has just enough interest I should imagine to keep your little one enthralled.
