Same... Item never shipped or received. Why does Amazon allow this to keep happening? So many complaints and Amazon allows this supplier to keep deceiving customers!

Are these cast iron or some other material? some are concrete cast into the hex shape - will crumble if dropped so want to confirm cast iron.

Chrome plated cast iron handles with rubber over cast iron dumb-bell "knobs" themselves, Dependending on the weight you choose their heavy so you don't want to drop them on your wooden floor. If you work out inside and most people who buy dumbbells do, then get a floor mat. one of those foam rubber puzzle mats, there not expensive.

Does everyone that buys these dumbells have the same problem with the rubber stinking up there house? It's so bad I have to leave them outside!

I bought a pair used/like new. So it was someone elses return and they probably got the initial bad smell. Mine smelled at first but I have wiped the rubber ends down twice with 50/50 mix water and white vinegar. The odor is very little now. I can tell its going to go away. It's been 3 days since they were delivered.

How long can this product be used?

I guess it depends on how well you treat your equipment. The dumbbells are solid and the rubber encasing seems to be very durable. I have only had the dumbbells for a few months and have no reason to question the durability.

The item was fine (each size wt in separate box) although found out by gate on ground partially open ( it is extremely heavy). Grip perfect size for my size 7 glove hand and non abrasive ends don’t scratch my wood floor or cut into carpet.

Happy with the product. However they are massive. I don't know why they are this massive, it's almost laughable lol but oh well it does the trick! They have a really strong paint/ rubber type smell, hoping this goes away lol.
