Rack-A-Tiers 47010 V-Cutter NMSC Cable Stripper

Well first off the product is very well built. Now that being said it did not match up to my current stippers had to drill out the existing hole slightly bigger. I did try 7 different pairs to see if they fit and they did not fit. I made them fit and they currently seam to work very nice.

Like everything about it, but wish the blade stayed in the tool better. The mounting screw could also be improved.

I don't know how many times I have cut myself when pealing Romex back. Not no more slice and dice of fingers. My election friends have bought them too.

I can’t stress how awesome this tool is. First offit fit on my Klein strippers no problem, and when I tried them out they worked better then I could have hoped. But after only 5 hours the blade fell out, very disappointed with that and hoping that Rack-A-Tiers reads this review. Would easily be 5 stars if the blade didn’t fall out.

I have been using this for over a year now, and have to say I like it a lot. But as someone else has mentioned, the blade is prone to falling out, and if you lose it, well, it is worthless. A put a dab of superglue or something like that. The tool does work well, and is the easiest way I have found to slice the NM sheath inside the box. I would replace this tool if necessary.

The cutter itself was good but the screw and nut weren't long enough to cover the hole and grab and tighten and it just popped out on me a couple minutes after installing

Disappointed that it doesn't fit Klein Strippers considering Klein is one of the more popular brands trusted by electricians. Seems like they work well just using it by hand, but like another review says, get ready to file to make it fit properly unless you order their croc strippers.
