Good general info on Life as a colonist in the SW universe.
I probably like the book for Hired Guns more, but I found lots of cool details for characters in this book.I agree with the other review about wanting more for the Base of Operations section. But I understand why they can't be too profitable. Who wants to play, Excel the Accounting, after all?I really liked one of the Signature Abilities. I sort of wonder if the one that reduces difficulty of skill checks should be limited to a single specializations career skills rather than all career skills, however?I disagree with the other reviewer about the book lacking things for older Colonists like the Doctor, though. There are additional details for performing triage on multiple patients at the same time, for example. I don't recall the other expansions having a ton of material for the already existing specializations, either.

Another book means more fun for the Star Wars Edge of the Empire universe!
New Rules:I enjoy the homestead rules and it makes it quite easy to integrate intoa story.New Races/ships/stuff:I always like new items, but I don't really have an opinion on if these are better/worse/neutral versus others of the books.New Specializations:I like the different styles they went with the specializations so that you have so many more options.Signature ability:I do not use these in my group. I told them until they are released for all the careers people in my game are playing, nobody can use them.

Far Horizons could have hit closer to home. I don't know many groups that want to start a nerf herding ranch but you can with this source book. My group will use Homestead and Business rules for a smuggling empire and I like the new addition of droids, weapons and artwork. Past those three the specializations seem like they will never be chosen and starting a group with a piece of land over a ship makes me feel a lot like real life (which is not why I play games).

This helps well if you want to work on how to put together social moments vs action. Also it introduced help if you want to give characters side work outside of the regular course of gameplay.

Finally got the book from a local store near to where I live, as Amazon Prime failed to seal the deal! The book like all Fantasy Flight Games products is absolutely awesome!

Great supplement
Was an enjoyable book. Wish it had more information on establishing business and or cities. Has some good ideas on how to make a colonist interesting.
