Marilyn Manson returns with his eleventh studio album 'We Are Chaos'. Co-produced by Manson and GRAMMY® Award winner Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker), the ten-track opus was written, recorded, and finished before the global COVID-19 pandemic. Manson heralds the record's arrival with the title track and lead single 'We Are Chaos'. Manson's painting, Infinite Darkness, which can be seen on the album cover, was specifically created to accompany the music. His fine art paintings continue to be shown all over the world, including gallery and museum exhibitions from Miami to Vienna to Moscow. Review: Perfection in a CD - This CD arrived promptly on day of release and in immaculate condition. The first thing that struck me was the overall design of the cover, featuring a printed copy of an original portrait of Marilyn Manson, by Marilyn himself. The image is set against a black background and is striking, the same colour palette is used throughout the card CD cover. The album title along with the artist's title are added to the outer edges of the cover. The reverse cover, depicts a cross, with crossmembers pointing towards the tracks on the album. As a bonus, there is another print of one of Marilyn's own artworks - a small poster size (14" x 14") which includes the lyrics to all the tracks on the reverse. A lot of thought has gone into the presentation of this CD 'cover packaging' and it would make a lovely gift for a fan of Marilyn's work. The CD, emblazoned with black and grey tones with a dominant silver cross as a central feature. The silver reflects the spectrum of colours as it is moved under light. The CD includes ten tracks, including the familiar "We Are Chaos". I love the album - I have bought a number of Marilyn's albums over the years and this one is a masterpiece. I particularly love "Solve Coagula" and "Broken Needle", although I love the album in its entirety. The thought that has gone into this entire album shows a real maturity, the standard is excellent, the attention to detail is perfect. I would recommend this album as a gift for any fan of Marilyn Manson's work, or for those yet to discover that there is far more to this man than they may have guessed. Excellent album, proud to add it to my collection! Review: Good album but... - After greatly enjoying The Pale Emperor (2015) and Heaven Upside Down (2017), I thought I'd keep the ball rolling and purchase Marilyn Manson's new highly acclaimed album, We Are Chaos. The album was released in September 11th, 2020 and was released through Loma Vista Records and Concord Records. The album is the first in years without Tyler Bates and instead sees Manson working with Shooter Jennings, son of the legendary Waylon Jennings. The change in producers has an interesting effect of Marilyn Manson's material. He went from a rather stale collection of albums to a second wind with Bates. Now, with Jennings behind the helm, it's like Manson is set to reclaim his throne on top of the goth podium. This is found through out the album in songs like Red Black And Blue, Infinite Darkness and Broken Needle. They're very dark and have quite a grim tone to them. The single We Are Chaos is a great tune with a fantastic chorus. It reminds me a little more of that '80s goth music. Songs like Perfume and Coagula remind me a bit on Manson's Holy Wood period. It's a good blend of music and brings a bit of variety to the mix. Despite enjoying We Are Chaos and being very happy with the product, I feel that this album is just missing something. I don't know what it is. It seems like Manson needs a good guitarist or bass player to get the riffs back in his songs. It's a certain something that I miss about his music. The music here isn't without their hooks, but they're not quite as effective as the previous two albums and certainly pales in comparison to '90s Manson. That sounds a lot more pessimistic than I intended. It's only a minor gripe, honestly. We Are Chaos is not Marilyn Manson's best album musically but I can fully understand why people would love it. I really enjoyed it myself. It's a strong record with really good production. Jennings and Manson clearly have good chemistry, it could only be improved by having a fully working band for the next one. I can only hope. If the last two appealed to you, this is an easy buy. It's a little different tonally but has the same maturity behind it.

Gorgeous album 10/10 start to finish
Thats when I have to say WWAAAOOOW Please be advised that you should listen to this album with headphones, eyes closed and no distractions. its not long but is fkng gorgeous from start to finish. Some of the songs actually stopped me, I just had to stop what I was doing and just let it all in. Though short, this album packs an emotional punch in parts, most of the songs almost had me in tears because they were so relatable. Its a very human album if that makes sense. I didn't even know it was out until the other day and I grabbed the disc from here. The record comes with some really creepy art that I will put up on my wall for sure. I don't really know what to say about this album just yet but I cant stop listening to it and I am talking about the entire album not just a few songs her and there. It reminds me of a lot of old songs from Mechanical Animals and Holywood but don't know which ones lol. The lyrics are great and straight up. The vibe is really rich this entire albums just spews good tunes and that iconic voice we all love. I also get this strange synthy 80's vibe behind the chaos. its really addictive. I just wish it was 20 songs long. Look just shut up and buy this damn album its really good.

An antidote to Order
I spent a while trying to decide on my favourite tracks but realised this is a good old fashioned album that’s best appreciated from start to finish. The different pacing and style of songs is very satisfying, often surprising. It’s the first album I’ve heard from him in a while where I feel the music is unforced, he’s being himself and not trying to imitate past glories. I found myself revisiting/alternating it with Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood and it’s also helped me get into some of his more recent albums which I’d overlooked.

As a big obsessed Marilyn Manson fan since I was a teenager at 14 to an adult at 38 today I must say his new album "We Are Chaos" is one of best ones he has so far. All the tracks are superb and brilliant. You can listen to them all day on repeat and you won't get bored, trust me. Nothing compares to his other albums. It still sounds like Manson but just a nice glow to it. You can listen to his music for free on YouTube but buying the actual CD shows respect to the artist on top of owning something you can touch with your hand unlike listening to it on your electronics. What are you waiting for, buy the CD and you won't regret it. I purchased two of them because I'm a collector and want one sealed. This CD comes in a non jewel case. The artwork is beautiful. Every song is magnificent in his new album all 10 tracks. Not one song you'll get bored and skip. My favourite song is "Don't Chase the Dead". Thanks MM, you made a masterpiece.

Disco maturo, completo, solido... forse perfetto.

Anspieltipps wären für mich der Titelsong "We are Chaos", die Mörder-Nummer "Don't Chase the Dead", die Balladen "Broken Needle", ""Paint you with my Love" und "Half-Way & One Step Forward", sowie "Parfume". ;-)
