CRAFTERS WORKSHOP TEMPLATES 12"X12" GAUZE

I have used this for backgrounds in paintings and also for painting my wall. It's sturdy and I absolutely love the designs. The only reason I don't give it 5 complete stars is because the space between the designs is too small to cut them apart. It's very unwieldy when it's all together, but really, it's not practical to cut.

First of all, It came so badly bent that I could not use it right away if I wanted to. i have placed it a book and put several more on top. Hope this works. But in the picture it shows the branch and different size flowers. If you take a very sharp pencil that is almost what it looks like. But if you try to use paint...not ever close to a cherry blossom tree.

I’d have given this product 5 stars because it’s exactly what I needed and very high quality, and the seller shipped very quickly. The reason it’s 3 stars? The seller folded the stencil in half to fit it in a smaller envelope so there’s a permanent crease in the stencil that makes it impossible to lay flat on your work surface. Thus the stencil can’t be fully used because it won’t stay flat (even with repositioning stencil adhesive). So...great stencil with poor packaging as reported by other buyers. I’d buy the stencil again, but probably from another source.

These are the best deal ever for my layered "mixed media" paintings. They are a nice size, and there are quite a few designs. What I am going to do is not what people normally do with watercolor that I know of. I have used pencil with some colored fine point felt markers over parts of it. With the remaining doodles (got a book here with designs I can follow loosely), I will watercolor them - lightly - others not. Then I will make a subtle background gradient style with muted tones. After all is dry I will mark in a darker color - over the stencils to give it texture. I might try one design first and see where it leads me. Not too much. I also have another handwriting stencil - both of these a very good deal. I do not put too much water on the brush, and I do not wet the watercolor paper or designs before applying stencil "texture". I am a digital artist as well, and we always do things in layers. Perhaps I might even use subtle colors of felt tip art markers over stencil designs as well - instead of paint.Fun.

The media could not be loaded.  I gave this a 2 star because the weight of the stencel is very good but you can only use it as a one piece.I ordered it to use as a backsplash. You can't uses it as a continuous piece, there is no edges that line up.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought a couple of these templates for a New Year's Eve Paint party with a few friends. It took a few minutes to learn not to go too "heavy" on the template with the paint, but I still loved it. The templates are very durable and also can be washed/rinsed for repeated use. My friend and I did two different photos though we had the same template.

I replaced the flooring in my house and also ripped out the gross carpet from the basement stairs. I wanted to try and paint the stairs to match the flooring. I didn’t use the full stencil all over, just bits and pieces to try and match the vinyl plank. It definitely added a nice wood grain look to the stairs and nobody has noticed I painted them and they aren’t actual matching vinyl.

These stencils performed very well. They stay flat, and with the use of painter's tape, were easily positionable on a vertical surface. Little to no bleed on the edges when using a thick matte craft paint and sponge dauber. The fine, thin details came out quite well. Was able to re-apply the stencil dozens of times with no discernable change in results, in spite of paint build-up. Pleased!
