Rip Curl Waterproof Watch

Very comfortable silicone strap, large digits on nice black display, easy to see in any light condition, bright back light. Plenty of functions: two time zones, four alarms, stop watch, timer. Remember this watch is made for surfing. Hence the secure lock on the strap, silicone strap, and non-metal body. The buttons are large but flat: easy to find and action, but don't stick out much. The display is flush to the body, which means it could get scratched if hit against something. But, I cut a plastic cell phone screen protector to shape and fit it on. It looks great and discrete. The body is large but just right. But it's not high: the body stays flush on the wrist and doesn't stick out much. Long sleeve shirts go over it OK. The overall colours of body, strap and screen make it very discrete; wearable at any occasion IMHO. I'm pleased that after months searching for a replacement for my battered / damaged Timex and Diesel I found this one.

Great watch. It didn’t come with very many instructions but it was easy to find on the net. The band is a little stiff but once you wear it for a while it gets better.

First off, I loved this watch while it lasted. Unfortunately, it completely stopped working after two months. I bough it at the beginning of December as a Christmas present to myself, and it stopped working the first week of February. Furthermore, the return window was only valid until January 31. Therefore, I spent about $90 on a watch that lasted only a short time, and I can no longer return it. Not happy!!!! I will never buy this watch again, and I would be wary if considering buying it yourself.

The product is pretty good, but i didnt like it for one thing. its not that friendly when it comes to wearing and removing it from your wrist. quite a struggle to do it!!!! now its lying there. i am not using it very often for the same reason!!!

**UPDATE** I sent the watch to Rip Curl, they fixed it quickly and sent it back. I still really like this watch, it has held up to the elements. I'm not gentle with it and wear it daily. Atom is comfortable to wear and looks great. The backlight was awesome and bright but only worked for 2 days, HUGE disappointment. Otherwise, this would be a 5 star watch.

Perfect size, not too big or bulky. I found the instructions online and they were as easy to follow as aby other digtal watch ive owned. I had a black screen freestyle digital previous and theis one is MUCH easier to read. Larger numbers too. wrist band solid, lost my freestyle while surfing so bought this. Will write again if anything happens while wet or with time. For now very happy with this watch.

The watch is nice enough but I have two cons...one is that it is a pain to put on and take off. The band has a notch in it you have to get just right and it takes effort. Once it's on it stays on well. The second con is that this watch is impossible to set. The instructions are poor and I tried for a half hour to try to set this because of daylight savings time. The watch kept reverting to 12:00 with the date of 10/1. Poor design.

Great watch, I originally bought to wear at work, but it feels and looks so good I wear it all the time.

I've only just got this watch, but so far I'm impressed. It looks good and it does its main job - telling the time - in no uncertain terms. The display is very contrasty under normal lighting conditions and can even be seen clearly in a dimly-lit room. The backlight is bright enough to be useful, unlike my old Braun BN0046 square digital. Setting up took just a minute after I located and printed the instructions from the net. Note to Rip Curl - please enclose a setup sheet! The watch looks smart and the strap is soft and comfortable, if a little bulky. As long as it keeps on doing what it's doing, I'll be very pleased with it. 4/5

La pantalla en color contrastaste, muy agradable a la vista. Muy buen diseño, muy comoda la correa de caucho. Diario lo lavo y lo mojo sin mostrar ningún signo de deterioro.
