Black Helicopters are real! Tim Mee's SHADOW OPS: Black Helicopter Strikeforce includes 8 pieces and is proudly manufactured in the United States. Set includes 6 different S.W.A.T. figures along with an attack and a transport Helicopter. The attack chopper is modeled after the McDonnell Douglas / Bell Helicopter LHX concept design and the transport copter is also likely a concept aircraft. The helicopters both measure about 8 inches long (not including rotor) and 2.75 inches wide and tall. The S.W.A.T. police figures feature a high level of detail and stand up to 2.6 inches tall. All pieces are made from sturdy HDPE/LDPE black plastic with very little flashing. The helicopters are approximately 1:50 scale and the figures 1:30 scale. The S.W.A.T. police figures were first produced by PROCESSED PLASTIC COMPANY (Tim Mee's parent company) in the late 1970's and were included in various police sets but were discontinued in the 1980's. The first versions of the helicopters were produced the mid-1990's and were usually offered in bulk bins along with an assortment of other aircraft. At some point they were slightly modified to make the interiors molded as part of the lower fuselage to simplify manufacturing. This all-black set was inspired by the classic Tim Mee Shadow Mountain playset along with TV shows and movies like Airwolf, Blue Thunder, and the countless Black Helicopter conspiracy theories featured on programs like Coast-to-Coast AM. Playset is packaged in a polybag with header card. These are real toys, meant to be set up, knocked over, picked up and played with for years to come. Recommended for ages 5 and up.

The black helicopters DO exist...
…and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. This set is a reissue of various pieces that were not previously sold together, and never before produced in black. The figures were originally cast in blue, and sold as a “SWAT Team” set in the 70’s. (You can tell by the revolvers, the old-fashioned body armor, the single-shot tear-gas launcher, the CHiPs-style helmets, etc.) The helicopters are recasts of vehicles that were previously molded in yellow, red, and blue and sold individually as part of a bulk aircraft assortment. This is also a high-quality reissue: Unlike the endless Chinese knockoffs of these classic toys, the figures are finely detailed with excellent relief and little or no excess plastic left from the molding process. The choppers are likewise very cleanly molded and tightly assembled. (The rotors are a little too tight when assembled, as other reviewers have noted; carefully enlarging the center hole in the rotor slightly with a drill or the tip of a good sharp knife takes care of that lickety-split.)Some reviewers have complained about the price (too high). Yes, these are molded plastic toys that don’t make noise, light up, move under their own power, etc., but they’re also top-quality, made in the USA, and have significant collectible and nostalgic value for people of a certain age - whether they go on a shelf, or are shared with the next generation or two of imaginative young minds. Finally, the “SHADOW OPS – BLACK HELICOPTER STRIKE FORCE” artwork on the header card was worth a good chunk of the price I paid, and can be enjoyed both with and without irony. Art Bell, pick up the phone – Alex Jones is on line 3!

GET INTO THE FIGHT
I am 12 years old and I think this is very fun to play with. The figures are bigger than most army men and the helicopters are also very big. The figures and helicopters are very detailed and durable and meant to last a long time. The figures are black and so are the helicopters. The weapons include revolvers, grenade launchers and rifles. There are two helicopters: an attack helicopter and a transport helicopter. The attack helicopter has missiles and machine guns on it. Everything about this set is great and durable with a lot of detail. I am 12 years old and I love playing with this set

BLAC OPS / SWAT TEAM ADVENTURES!
Wow! Who thought of digging out the old Tim-Mee molds and running them in BLACK? GENIUS! These are gonna be tough to find, believe you me. This set in particular was gifted by me last Christmas to an underprivileged child. Now that child is educating himself, I trust, about monster fighters and conspiracy theories. All because of American ingeniousness. Fast shipping. Very cool set in virgin polyethylene. Made in USA!

Excellent quality
These are high quality versions of the Army Men I played with as a kid. They are MUCH better quality than other brands that look similar.

Best army men toys out there
These are so my nicer than the green army buckets you buy at Target. They are much more durable and detailed. They are my child's favorite army men out of the almost 500 he has. I will buy more TimMee Toys. I also like that they are made in USA.
