I've utilized a variety of lasers over the years. Short of a DBAL this one is top shelf. I legitimately feel it's worth the coin. Some of the big pros, imo, is the lens guard that comes on it. Easily employed and removed. Stays right on the unit. I also really like the mode switch on the back. It allows for you to completely turn the unit off. Ones that I've used in the past were usually activated by a push button or remote. This has caused me great grief to realize my battery has drained as a result of inadvertently powering on the laser while being cased. This model allows you to select from constant on, off, or momentarily via remote. You can disable the remote by simply turning it off. Truly a great feature. Reversing the battery to prevent accidentally engaging the laser, is no more a necessity. Speaking of the remote, this thing is significantly more robust and durable than ones Ive had in the past. Think streamlight TLR H-1 type quality and size. It fits right on your picatinny rail as well. Comes with velcro if you don't want to go that route. This thing is bright and has magnificent range. I have little issue picking it up in broad daylight with the Green laser. I would definitely recommend the Green. It's highly visible at night. Like you can literally see the entire beam. Which is kind of groovy. Unless you are expecting return fire, then maybe go red. Lol. Harder to track back to you. Actually IR DBAL with NOGS if truth be told. The zero is highly reliable as well. I've got it on a 556 and regardless of load it is money. Set it and forget it. The way it ought to be in this price range. QD mount is a nice addition as well. It has a lock out on the tab so you can't inadvertently actuate it. Well thought out and put together unit all around. I would honestly say if you can afford it, do it. You won't be disappointed. Don't do like I did and spend money, in excess of the cost of this sight, on a slew of lesser priced options to just end up here anyways. Just my one and a half cents. Do with it what you will.

Excellent laser for, easily visible and was able to sight it in and zero it easily, adjusting it was very simple, I just used the butt end of a shell. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a laser for their setup.

Aside from gouging an extra $50 for the ever popular green laser, these are decent entry level lasers. They hold zero, take a good bump, and they run on AA batteries so you can keep them glowing on the cheap. The unit is pretty easy to mount too, with just one gripe: the pressure switch is too damn thick and doesnt sit flush. I use the onboard switch as others have stated too. Its a good sight otherwise. There's even an online hack that shows you how to add an IR light to this unit (if you really need one).

Sturdy and serves it's purpose. If you need a Steiner you should get one but this should more than suffice for my needs.
