Great product, lives up to the Dyson name.
I replaced my old Shark upright with this Dyson, and it is a great vacuum. The only drawback is the weight of it. If you are a Senior, as I am, it might be too heavy for you. Compared to the Shark, it is double the weight, but it really cleans superbly. I am happy with it, and highly recommend.

Incredible
Vacuuming both carpets and travertine floors. Wow, wow, did an incredible job. We vacuumed first with our other vacuum and then with the Dyson Ball. Hard to believe there was still so much dirt etc.Love it and highly recommend it!!

No response from seller
The only thing good about this product is that it actually has good suction on hard floors. The drawbacks are numerous. The detachable hose has a rigid section that is 18-24” therefore, you can’t maneuver the tip to vacuum a car, corners etc. the other big problem is that the head states that the height is self adjusting but it does not adjust at all and I’m unable to use it in carpet because it sighs down too hard on the carpet and can’t be budged. I have contacted the seller twice with my complaints with NO response so was a complete waste of money!

Bar Brush Broke after only a few months
The vacuum worked amazing until this month when the brush bar cracked. There was nothing hard vacuumed up to cause the issue. This was disappointing.

DON'T BUY
I loved my DYSON BALL Vacuum (Serial number: TJ4-US-JAB9499A) until it stopped working. Since it was still under warranty, I looked up Dyson service centers. I’ve just learned that Dyson products can only be fixed in Dyson service centers. If you choose to fix it in other repair centers, the warranty is voided and you will have to pay for repairs. I live in NY and the whole state has only one service center in Plainview on Long Island. Since I didn’t feel like paying expensive tolls to drive to Planview, and the distance was the same as to Paramus, I decided to drive to NJ. If you don’t have a service center in your area, you will have to SHIP a very heavy vacuum to the nearest center. My visit to Dyson service center was shocking. In front of the store was a disgruntled group of people with different Dyson vacuum models, corded and cordless. Most of them were purchased a year ago and they already stopped working. Everyone agreed that for the price they paid it should have not broken down so soon.I was expecting that my vacuum would be looked at immediately because I found this info on the DYSON website: “No appointments are necessary and repairs are completed on a first come, first serve basis. We will always work to meet your service speed expectations and most repairs can be completed while you wait. If a repair cannot be completed when you arrive, we will provide you with a time frame for completion.”Unfortunately, they refused to look at my vacuum and before I handed over my vacuum for repair, I was told that it could take up to a month to get the vacuum back. They are so backed up that they would be closing for the next 10 days to clear the backlog. I wonder what will happen to all the people whose vacuums break in the next 10 days???? When I got back home, I called the Dyson customer service and complained about the long wait. I later received an email from Dyson Online Support (Brandi) stating: “Please note, all repairs for all customers do take 10-14 BUSINESS days.”So, before you purchase any Dyson products, make sure you live near a Dyson service center and that you will be OK with one month wait for repairs to be completed. If I had known how long the wait is and how complicated it is to get the repairs done, I would have never chosen Dyson. Since Dyson products are so expensive, I expected an exceptional customer service.

What an over-engineered piece of crap
Please don't be fooled by the good reviews. Sure this is a great vacuum for suction on totally flat surfaces with no corners and if you don't have to use the hose attachment. Otherwise the hose and attachments are freaking impossible, the hose is too strong in its retractability, the attachments are extremely hard to get on and off. The vacuum constantly loses its upright position so you can't use the hose without continually stepping on it. It's just a pretty, pretty, piece of crap.
