These lights are great, they are very easy to install, the bulbs are simple to replace if needed. They are very bright and worked out perfectly for our application. I had the old circuit on a standard dimmer and there is no problem with dimming the lights from this dimmer, there is no hum or noise. The circuit box is large enough for connecting 2 NM 14/2 Romex cables with wire nuts.

The good: The housing and trim rings are good quality. They are metal instead of plastic like many of the home improvement stores. They look great when installed. The bad: The included G10LED bulbs look good, but make noise when used with a dimmer. They are quiet at full brightness or the lowest setting, but make a noise at any mid range setting. ***** Update 11/30/16. The vendor contacted me right after my review with a list of dimmers that would work with the product. They have great customer support.*****

These are wonderful! When I bought them someone mentioned that they were just accent lighting and wouldn't be good for providing a soft light for our 12x24 kitchen / dining room. I am happy to report that they provide more than enough light and were very easy to install. The hardest part was running the wire in the attic (way too hot up there).

These are a great value, and a solid product. I just completed installation in an existing finished ceiling for the living room. We wanted to add more light, and the fact these are LED and swivel made the decision easier! I really like the fact that the bulbs may be changed instead of having to pull down the entire fixture. The "remodel" style installation tabs/wings make securing these a breeze. These are equivalent to about 50W and warm (yellowish) light - of a traditional bulb. The only negative I had was the size of the wiring box - it's very tight, especially with 2 - #14/2 AWG wires. Also, I wish the trim ring was a touch larger. I had some tear out when I used the 68mm hole saw because of the plaster. Both of these you can see in the pictures. All in all, I'm very happy with these and it made a huge difference! As far as being IC rated - it is shown on the box as it is. The fixture looks to have thermal protection as well. However the fixture itself is not marked as such. Even after an hour, they were only slightly warm to the touch.

Work well. The CRE makes artwork look good. The color temp is nice, works well in my living room at night. It is definitely on the yellow side, so if you're looking for daylight color lighting this is not for you. Easy installation, just make sure you have the correct size hole saw (3 3/8). The lip is tiny, so make sure you cut a clean hole! It does take some work to get wiring into the small junction box, but it is do-able. I used non metallic clamps, and twisted the wiring before putting it into the fixture. The bezel is an off white color, but looks fine in the ceiling. I put in five, and usually dim them to 10% at night. I'm using a Lutron Caseta LED dimmer, which has little to no "buzzing".

After several attempts with issues on dimming issues on most of the listed dimmers, we had to change the lamps in the fixtures with different lamps from Home Depot. Buzzing stopped. I would not recommend unless your not using a dimmer. This product was installed by a state License electrical contractor.

The included light bulbs are unbranded but made by LVWIT via model number dgu10-005t005uw-18. All GU-10 LED light bulbs convert AC to DC inside the light bulb itself, but these particular bulbs do so poorly when on any LED compatible dimmer. This is the "buzzing" that is commonly complained about. When the bulbs are pushed-up into the recessed cans the buzzing is amplified. How loud the buzzing is depends on how dense the lighting layout is and how far away from the lights you are. The more you have and the closer you are to them the louder they will be. I have 14 of these canned lights in 10x10 pattern on an 8' ceiling, so in my case the buzzing was very loud. I did try around 8 different LED comparable dimmers as recommended by the seller with the exact same results for each. After all of this I replaced the bulbs with Phillips model number 465054 from Amazon. These same light bulbs are sold at home depot although he model number is different. The lights were then dead silent at any level of dimming. The recessed cans themselves are great, but I lost a lot of time working through what turned out to be bulb issues. With these included bulbs this item should not be listed as dimmable due to the amount of noise they create. The seller was responsive and refunded me $60 of the $90 is cost to replace the 14 bulbs.

Definitely there should be separate ratings for 3" cans and GU-10 LED bulbs. This 3" can is very easy to work with (I used 3-3/8 hole saw), installation took almost no time. Solid design (probably one of the best for 3" cans) and I would definitely like to buy more if not for GU-10 LED bulbs which came in the kit. One bulb lasted just 2(!) hours, another "died" in a few more. UPDATE: In less than 24 hours, I received a message (and later a call) from the Vendor with an offer to correct the issue. Excellent Customer Service. Rating goes up now. Will see what happen next. UPDATE 2: Within 2 days, we received a replacement set. Great customer service. All the other cans and bulbs have worked fine. Again, these are easy cans to work with. I will definitely purchase another set for the next project.
