Excellent quality, long lasting trim brush
I'm a big fan of Purdy paint brushes and have them in a variety of sizes. They are excellent quality in every way. The bristles are tightly held in the ferrule so they don't shed bristles as you paint, which is critical to achieving a beautiful paint job. The wood handles are sturdy, smooth and comfortable. I love the angled tip because it makes it easy to cut in perfectly. Lastly, this brush cleans up easily. I have Purdy brushes that are more than ten years old that I've used many, many times. You get what you pay for with paint brushes and Purdy brushes are worth every penny.

Great brush!! Great results!!
Purdy brushes are some of the best on the market. They produce a far better result than cheap brushes. Creates very clean accurate cut ins. The bristles are very responsive to soap and water cleanup with minimal paint left after cleaning.

Great brush, well worth the price!!
I saw a video about buying a good brush and how to take care of it. They were using this Purdy brush in the video. It talked about not getting the paint up too high on the brush and to wash it (keeping it pointed down) as soon as it is no longer being used. Then pat dry it and put it back into the packaging to keep it from getting damaged. Purdy has a great package that closes. It worked like a dream to paint the nooks and crannies of my door. I used the same brand roller for the flat part after painting with this brush. It did a great job and I saved a lot of money by doing it myself instead of hiring someone.

Great for people with trouble doing cut ins/edges.
Great for very detailed/ cut in work but doesn't hold a lot of paint. If you're not good at cut ins get this brush it will help you emensly. If you are a more experienced painter, get a thicker/larger cut in brush so you can cover more ground more quickly with better coverage

Great edge brush
This brush feels nice for edge cutting, especially for the price. I didn’t lose any bristles, even after cleaning and using it a few times. I will definitely buy this brush again.

Not quite as life changing as some might have you believe, but a good brush that much is clear. We had builders in for a few weeks and they were raving about them, so for a load of internal decorating I had to do, I tried it. I'm not mad on the long handle (not that I have to use it) but there is no question you can cut into edges very effectively with this. I am an "enthusiastic / experienced amateur" and I can do corners now with a razor sharp edge with this brush, it's all in the holding your breath and splaying the brush - watch a few youtube videos for "cutting in". Only reason I am marking it down a notch is that (i) it's expensive (ii) I've been using it for a number of weeks now across several internal jobs and despite much cleaning it is stiffening up a bit. I will accept this might simply be lots of usage or poor cleaning on my part but I expected a bit more longevity. But if you have some painting to do where accuracy is key, no question this will do the job. I think I would buy again.

In my opinion the Purdey range of brushes/rollers/extensions are well worth the extra over B&Q/Wickes brands. Harris doesn't come close to these and they are only a little cheaper. This range of brushes (with emulsion or other water based paints) can be used repeatedly without a drop off in quality of finish so pay for themselves after a few uses. More importantly, the paintwork finish is perfect.

Thinner than the other brushes in this range which was a surprise given its high cost but it does the job so no real complaints
