Q: can u use it to cook with?

Hi, These stoves are not for cooking with, they are scale replica 1" = 1foot approximately. They are heavy cast iorn and might handle a wood fire, but the are designed as toys I'm pretty sure and you would have to keep your food and fire at the same reduced scale. Bob Wilson

Q: can it burn small wood for being mini heater?

It’s not made for that because they cut out a hole in the center of it(on the bottom).but I will burn with mine soon, I going to cover the hole..very nice piece
