Excellent - fits my iron and no burnt clothes anymore!!

This is really good! I have a steam generator iron that would constantly stick to my shirts etc. when ironing. I repeatedly cleaned the soleplate, but each time I did any ironing, it was always the same. It was driving me nuts and ruining my shirts! On closer inspection, it looked like the non-stick ceramic coating on my iron's soleplate was so thin it had worn away in places. I didn't know these things existed, but I thought I'd give it a whirl. It fits well, it is slightly larger than the original soleplate, but fits tightly and doesn't move during use. It's quite thick so it doesn't have a button groove like you'd normally find. No sticking and no scorching! Glides along very nicely and I'm really pleased with it. It was expensive for what it is I guess, however it's saved me the cost of a new steam generatoor iron and makes ironing so much easier and smoother, it's money well spent. The only thing I'd say is that the heat/steam from your iron will escape in a different pattern, so watch your fingers. You may also find that if this is slightly larger than your original soleplate (as in my case) it may not rest on the heel of the iron and be unstable, so just be careful how you leave your iron at rest. I did consider some cheaper variants of these but the reviews were very mixed. This particular item had consistent positive reviews, which is why I went for this one.

Great for protecting your clothes from getting scorched with iron and can keep your iron on high to remove wrinkles easily

The quality of this metal shoe cover protector is excellent. it's clearly superior and made in Europe, unlike most of the other products being sold. HOWEVER, I returned the item unused because I ultimately decided to use and keep a premium press cloth I bought at the same time instead. My main concern was reading that this product could potentially scratch the soleplate of my expensive iron, which is currently in pristine condition.

Since I have been using this, I haven’t burnt one item so would definitely recommend if your like me and forget to turn your iron down
