So cute
I love this book! Bought for Easter and was pleasantly surprised by this. Very few words so toddlers won’t get bored, great rhyming, wonderful pictures. A fun book about a spring day playing in the rain, grabbing lunch, going to the playground. Real life stuff that your toddler can relate to. A big hit!

Adorable
My 2 year old and 3 year old love this book and it’s fun story. It has cute illustrations and silly rhythms that keep them engaged. We read this for the first time after exploring/observing worms in our yard after an early spring rainstorm cleared up.

cute book about rainy days
This is a super cute book about playing in the rain. I love the illustrations. I saw some reviews about the text being scarce-I expected to be disappointed and I wasn’t. The book was really cute and my son loved it. Can’t wait to continue to read it to him as he gets older and can play in the rain himself as it rains a ton where we live. Hopefully this book will help him see the joy of a rainy day.

I liked it more than my class.
I thought my class would enjoy this book more. I liked it, seemed perfect for our spring theme. But the kids not so much.

Great for little ones
The book reads like a sing-song-poem, it's pretty simple & short, but still adorable & my preschoolers like it. Easy for them to remember what I've read to them & then "read" the story themselves when they want to. Love the illustrations.

Will resonate with anyone who lives in a rainy climate; all around excellent book
Great book all around. The art is lovely and very textural. Has a chalk/pastel feel to it and I almost wonder if that was intentional to keep the art looking “dry”, as watercolour in this story may leave the reader with a damp/cold feeling. I enjoy the toned-down but not depressing colour palette, showing the beauty of a rainy day. The story starts out close to the children, but as the day progresses, aI notice the view widens to show more of the world around them. The story is set in the city, but shows outdoor nature, like parks. I am so glad both world’s were shown , as a city person, I find the beauty of the city and it’s accessibility are not showcased enough in children’s books. This is a quick read, a lyrical/poetic story about a brother and sister going out to play in the rain in all it’s glory. I enjoy the word play if “worm weather” over “warm weather”. Even though there are only a few words or sentences per page, there are many pages to this book, so it’s a very satisfying read. As someone who grew up on the west coast, the rain is very endearing for me and as a child playing in the rain is just a fact of life vs. a reason to hide indoors, so a book that shows how awesome our climate is is a win for me.
