Awesome camera for the average person used to using a phone camera that wants to take way better pictures because it'll be an already familiar feeling for you. The image quality is fantastic even in low light. I shoot with a 6D and I wouldn't recommend this a5000 to any more serious photographers due to the fact that A) I keep finding myself lifting the camera to look through the non-existent viewfinder I'm used to otherwise and B) It's really quite difficult to use this in manual mode. Otherwise it's a great automatic shooter packed with awesome capabilities for the average snapper

Sony Alpha A5000 isn't a DSLR as the product name says. It is actually Mirrorless camera and that's why it's much smaller than a DSLR. I bought this camera for my elder sister who wanted to have a DSLR but as I'm using DSLR since last 5 years I know how difficult it is to carry them and if your purpose primarily isn't photography then you shouldn't buy a DSLR. What should you buy? THIS!! yes is small champ from Sony is no less than a DSLR though not a perfect DSLR but it's almost there. Though I couldn't get much hands-on with it but my 5 years of experience with DSLR helped to understand in little time what this could produce. PROS : 1) SMALL, Compact can be put in ladies' bag or travelers bag easily. 2) APS-C sensor. Usually this sensor is put in entry-level and mid-level DSLRs and is bigger than any sensor in compact cameras. Bigger the sensor better is your image quality. Sensor is heart of your camera. 3) INTERCHANGEABLE-LENS - World's smallest lens- interchangeable camera. Gives you a lot of scope to give new dimensions to your shots. you can put a prime lens or a zoom lens or a telephoto lens like DSLRs (Huge plus point) CONS : (These cons are actually in comparison with a DSLR, for whom this is their first camera, these are not cons per se) 1) No electronic view-finder - You have to look on the screen while taking a picture which could be little difficult in bright sunny conditions 2) Same manual and zoom switch. 3) Little slow Who should buy? 1) Those who want to but a camera equivalent to DSLR but are on short of budget or want a compact camera which takes less space and easy to carry around. 2) Those who want to upgrade from Point&Shoot but don't want to buy a DSLR for any of the above reason. Who shouldn't buy? Those who have already used a DSLR for sometime. This is definitely not an upgrade in any manner.

I bought for 25,980 on 22/06/16 from a seller called clickbuy. Price has really shot up. I got no freebies btw. Camera is great :)

Amazing Camera, totally has exceeded my expectations. The lens that it brings is a generic one, but it does the job fairly well. Upon further research, I have other lenses in mind to purchase to increase my satisfaction. The attached pictures were taken with this Camera (had to downsize, as a picture is usually around 20MBs). Also, the flip mechanism on the display is very useful when taking self-portraits.

This camera is so versatile and easy to use. It's compact enough to travel with which is great for vlogs.
