It Is Finished: Finding Lasting Victory Over Sin

Next to the Bible, this is one of the most amazing books I’ve ever read that revealed the new covenant. I recommend often to others. Read it, pray for the Holy Spirit to reveal Himself to you through it. I gained so much revelation through this book. Highly recommend.

I came out of legalism and understand that the New Covenant is based on grace and not works. About half way through the book Dave talks about his own personal struggles with sin. Even though he never clearly mentions what was taking place, he made it sound fairly serious. After a while I came to the conclusion that he would refer to other people he also knew that were involved in serious sin as Christians. I may have been reading into his writings wrong, but it seems to lead in the direction of taking grace too far.I still believe there is a healthy balance, referring to people who were practicing sin as still being Christians made me uncomfortable. For me personally, just reading the passages in the Bible that describes what hell would be like is a strong deterrent from leading a sinful life. I kept reading but found it hard to discern if Dave ever came to a real victory. Sometimes "grace" has been abused, there are plenty of warnings about the consequences of becoming entangled in sin. This book eventually made me too uncomfortable to finish. I am concerned that many people have taken God's grace too far and are leading other people down the wrong road.

First we did a Sunday School class using this book. Then some of people loved the book so much they wanted to spend more time studying it. It is a transformational book.

I watched the video series of Wilkerson's messages on YouTube, and just knew I had to get this book. So thankful too, so much in here to feed upon. I love the testimonies that are inserted along the way, just adds credence to the New Covenant teachings. Where would we be if it weren't for the Promise made with the Holy Ghost and God? I know where I would be, stuck trying to fulfill the law in my own flesh. Never going to happen that way, but with the Power of the Holy Ghost we can overcome and have victory if we just call on Him, and claim the promises! This book gave me hope over sin, and to live like Christ. Also gives you assurance to know that when you fail (which you're gonna do) that the Holy Spirit comes and offers loving grace to bring you back to the foot of the cross. Thank you, thank you for this book 100 x over. Pastor Wilkerson preached holy living for any follower of Christ, but also teaches how it truly can happen. He is missed, but so thankful I can listen, read and watch him on the internet! Praise Jesus, for giving these dry bones life! Amen!

Amazing, neglected, forgotten-by-many-but-not-all TRUTH!That the way of experiencing the New Covenant grace of God is to abandon all hope of self improvement or change by discipline, and to trust the event of the cross of Christ as the sure source of everything that God has promised me in Christ because it was at the cross where Jesus made a covenant of grace. And this is the cause for much of our failure, that we are ignorant of God's way, and try, with all sincerity - but with a wrong method, to please God. We must become disciples of grace if we are ever to learn to deny ungodly lusts and live holy in this present world. PLEASE READ THIS BOOK!

I honestly think this is one of the most eye-opening books I have ever read. The subject of the new covenant is taught today but it's too surface level...like it's all just regurgitated. But Wilkerson teaches it so different than I've heard it. He teaches as testimony, what he was walked through, interwoven with revelation that only the Holy Spirit could give. The book was so eye opening, but not just that it is applicable and will shake the foundations of your faith if you let it. I thought I knew a lot about the new covenant, and in a knowledge sense yeah I guess I do, but this book really helped it move from my head to my heart. Praise God.

This book is opening my eyes to everything the New Covenant was designed to do for us as Christians. It also explains why most Christians are not laying hold of the New Covenant life. I believe this is Pastor Wilkerson's most powerful and most important message, and once it was published the Lord was ready to bring him home. It is a wonderfully easy book to read, but you'll want to examine the truths revealed in it over and over again. lt will change your life as you sit under God's revelation of His unfailing love that breaks the bondage of habitual sins in our lives.

This is the book based on Pauls writing that has never been told to or taught to the Christians. It is the finished work of Jesus when he died on the cross. The word is divided. The old testament and the gospels were all written to the Jews. Paul was the apostle to the gentiles and this book covers the act of grace that Jesus gave us at the cross. That is for the ones who believe he was crucified, died, and was resurrected and it is for both Jews who believe that and the Gentiles that believe that. You really need to read it is really uplifting Jennie

it really gives you a true picture of what does it mean to be saved by grace. It speak about reality in Christ, it shows how powerful Salvation through the Blood of Christ is and how to be victorious over sin. I would recommend it to everyone. If you are sincere and want reality of Jesus in your life, that's a wonderful book to read!!!

For anyone looking for solid teaching on the finished work of the cross. David Wilkerson gives sound biblical teaching, is clear and easy to understand.

This book is definitely worth reading. Sin is a daily recurring problem with all of us; we need to know how to live victoriously in the light of the fact of this constant presence of sin in our lives.

Great Book written by a great Man of God. If you desire to learn about the New Covenant, The covenant that God has brought all true believers in Christ in to with Himself then this is a book for you. Highly Recommended!

One of the best books on Christianity that I have ever read, truly profound words of wisdom on every page. A must for the believer who is fed up of seeking the truth only to be more confused.
