Excellent filter.
I think this water filter is excellent. I had a Sprite filter before this but with this one my hair and skin are softer. I think the Sprite filter did not filter out the fluoride. Not only is my hair and skin looking much better, but the fluoride in the water is not being absorbed into my body. Also, I bathe my 2 large dogs in the shower and I don't have to worry now about them absorbing fluoride through their skin in the shower any more. Their fur also looks a lot better with this filter. I know all you dog lovers out there want to protect yourself and your dogs and this shower filter will help you do that. It is easy as pie to install as well. No bad points about this filter. Buy one and you and your pups will be healthier.

Easy install working fine, improves water smell
Super easy to install, seemingly working fine. What I mean by that is while I can't measure the water quality, but there is little to no impact on the water flow coming through. I was a bit hesitant we would miss some of the water pressure, but that is not the case. All flowing through great. After using it for about 10 days now I cannot report miracles yet, but we noticed the following: 1) Better smell in the shower while showering: It appears it clears out the chlorine and it smells more pure, like water should be, so I have a strong feeling some contaminants are filtered out. This alone would be worth the investment. 2) The skin seems a tad better, e.g. less dry. Too early to tell really, and lots of other factors as I am overall a bit dehydrated right now, but a feeling that the skins "approves" the change so far. Overall, a bit too early to tell for real results. But it was super easy to install, looks good, though the "chrome" is a matt plastic chrome without shine. I feel good about having it installed and think it was worth it, but I am curious if there is anything noteworthy in a month or two, and will update then.

Good showerhead filter
So far, I can say the Quench Pure filter is very easy to install. Also, the customer service, is very good and accessible (in the case support is needed). I continue to have strong water flow (no reduction in output). The filter came with a brief, informative brochure. What was helpful to read, for my experience, is advising that positive changes may take a couple of weeks to notice (i.e. smoother skin, better lather, healthier hair, etc.). In my case, I haven't yet noticed anything different about the quality of my shower water. I have Well Water, so chlorine was never a stand out issue. The problems are related to the water being "hard"- severe build-up of lime, calcium, deposits, etc. My tub spout was literally blocked inside, with a very hard, and large "rock" formation, white/green in color. I had to remove the spout and install a new one. This experience is what led me on the path of filtering this water that I shower in! I did so much research, and was going in circles. I finally decided to try Quench Pure. To date, there is no noticeable calcium build-up. My shower water essentially feels the same, as of now. I haven't reached that dramatic experience (yet) so many people speak of, in their reviews about feeling an immediate, positive shift in the quality of their water (noticing benefits in skin, hair, lather, etc).. I will update if I experience anything new. Otherwise, having the Quench Pure, showerhead filter, gives me peace of mind, and provides a quality shower experience (strong water output, etc)..

It's a miracle!
I had to borrow an adjustable wrench from a neighbor before I could install the shower head. Once I did so, it was a cinch to install. I bleached my hair for the summer and noticed immediately how damaged it felt after shampooing. I had to use conditioner everyday for the first time in my life just to put a comb thru it! Then I noticed that my hair didn't feel so badly when I stayed over at my friend's place in a different part of the city. I also noticed while in New York and all the cities I visited on vacation that my hair felt more healthy and soft after shampooing. I deduced that the water in downtown LA had to be harder. I tested it and found I was right. That's why I wanted to find other options. I just took my first shower with QwenchPure and not only did my hair feel softer and healthier after rinsing off the shampoo, I was able to put a comb right thru my hair with hardly a snag. It's a miracle and I'm a believer now!

I like it
I ordered two filters, one for each bathroom. Received, installed and been using these products for a week now. This product fits both our Kohler Rain showerhead fixture and Delta detachable showerhead fixture. Our water supply is city municipal water and is hard water. The installation was very easy (hubby simply stood there and watched without having to say a word). However, I suggested if you are shorter person (like I am), get a foot step to help lining up the threads easier. I also recommend using the plumber’s sealant tape on the shower pipe threads before connect it to the filter -- no need to over-tighten and no leaks! -This filter does extend another 4” to your shower fixtures, so a tall person – be aware of bumping your head first in the morning! -The biggest change both my son and I noticed is that the filtered shower water no long has the chemical odor, or the icky chemical taste we normally get from tap water. I do not have any special kit for testing water. I did a typical busy mom comparison – sniff one bowl with regular tape water, sniff another bowl with the filtered water. Both bowls are the same kind of ceramic water bowls, just painted with different pictures. I cleaned and scrubbed both bowls with soap and tape water in the kitchen sink prior the sniffing test, then filled one bowl with tape water from sink faucet and the other one the filtered shower water in the same bathroom. The result – this filter is definitely filtering out something because the tape water makes me gag. I now fill my dogs’ bedroom water bowls with the filtered water only. -As to other claims of showering with filtered water – I do not have opinion formed at this time as this is my first showerhead filter. I do notice my hairs are softer and have slight more volume (I have mid-back length and very, very straight fine hairs). Also my skins don’t feel as overly tight from dryness after showers since I started showering with this filtered water. I do recommend and plan to buy more for my parents' house.

Hand-tighten only.
Works ok but wish there were a way to view the inner filter to see if it is dirty or not before replacing. Since it is a closed system, it’s not possible; unless I missed something. And at the high cost, it could get pricey to just replace it like clockwork, I believe. Also do NOT over tighten during installation or water will NOT flow thru. I only hand-tightened it (no tools) and realized I had to back it off a number of turns to get water flow. I think it puts pressure on the washer, causing it to maybe ‘squish’ and malfunction. So, I recommend to hand-tighten only. There’s no mention of this in the installation instructions.

Good while it lasted
this Is an update to my initial 5 star review. This is one person using it once a day. I bought the first filter unit and it filtered water very well, but only lasted little over a month before water spots came back. I thought it was defective so i bought a 2nd filter unit mid feb and water went away but little over 3 weeks of good water, spots came back. My conclusion, not worth spending this much for 1 month of water filtration. The worst part is that they lack the replacements filter so you have to buy a new unit every time. I would have been happy if lasted even 2 months. Too bad.. will look for other filter

Best of the best
So far so good. I'm very sensitive to American water. Bought 5+ different filters. I used Grok to recommend a proven filter and this was one of the 3 recommended. Usually after 2-3 days of other filters my skin starts to itch again. 2 weeks in looks good. My skin is VERY sensitive so I probably need to switch filters every month or 2. For others it might be much longer
