The back light leaves a little to be desired. (Not very bright) Other than that, a good watch for the money.

I guess by “sport watch” they mean a watch that one can only wear with short sleeves. This watch is HUGE. The diameter of the face is huge, 48 – 50 mm depending on where you measure, and the thickness of the watch is immense – 15 mm or approx 9/16 inch. I tried to wear it with long sleeves and it just doesn’t work. I tried to wear it under a winter coat. Now I take it off before I put on my coat. It’s just too large.There are things to like about this watch. It seems to keep good time. Despite having a lot displayed on the face – hours, minutes, seconds, day, date, AM/PM –it remains readable. Kudos for the designers for that. It has a lot of functions such as time, stopwatch/chronograph, timer, World time, two alarms, and a backlight. It’s also water resistant to 330 feet, but the instructions say not to use the buttons under water.Like all watches with a limited number of buttons, it’s kind of a hassle to use the different items. Lots of different button pushing to accomplish what you want. Honestly, if you need a timer or alarm, your smart phone will be a lot easier to use and the alarm will be louder.One issue I had was that the time for Sydney, Australia was wrong when I checked the world time. I suppose it could have been operator error, but I had my time set correctly for New York City zone and not Daylight Savings Time. The time on the watch said it was 2:11 pm in Sydney, Australia when it was 11:11 pm my time. According to Google and Bing, it should have been 3:11 pm in Sydney.Overall, this is a watch that keeps good time, has lots of features but is just too big to be practical. I love watches in general, but not this one.

Great watch

I got my husband the Armitron Sports Men's watch when he started jogging again. Overall, it is a functional stopwatch with the standard features- stopwatch, split timing, alarm, different time zones, etc. It is also light- the bezel looks like it might be chrome but is actually plastic so although large, it does not feel very substantial. Which brings me to my main critique- it is large...very large for what is basically an average/standard stopwatch. I am not sure why it needs to be that large- the main number display is easier to read but the face is split into four segments showing seconds, date, etc that seem like they could have folded into an alternative display and shrunk the face to a more reasonable size. Overall, it is functional and has lasted for a while no complaints about durability but next time, I may opt for a smaller model.

This is my second one of these, I accidentally destroyed the last one. This is the most durable watch I have personally owned, and I have tried dozens. I also get a surprising number of compliments on its appearance. Other watch brands seem to suffer most often from a week or cheaply constructed wrist band, but this one is tough as nails, especially the pins, very strong. Highly recommend.
