I love these books for my kids
I love these books for my kids!! We bought the entire set! I home school. Right now my daughter, 3.5 is learning the alphabet, so these books are great for learning the letter and we will also be able to use them when it comes time for phonics. The books are creative and very expressive using the letter of the book throughout in great depth. We will also be using them for our 2 year old when she starts preschool.

My students love this book and all of Alpha Betty's classmates
Oh to learn the lessons the hard way through the eyes of others. My students love this book and all of Alpha Betty's classmates. Oh a great addition to letter Z week. I am so glad the author put the letters on their own. Way too often X,Y, Z are together. Yay Barbara Derubertis...job well done with the whole series....a must own for teachers.

Great Books
My son loves this book, mostly because his name is Zack. We got this book because he checked it out at his school library and did not want to return it. I really like this series be cause it introduces kids to sounds and words from every letter of the alphabet. It also has information about the animals at the back of the book.

cute book, nice/funny pictures and story!
My nephew, Zachary, loves this book. He is in first grade, has a learning disability and adhd. keeping his attention is a task. this book a cute story about a zebra named zachary, who loses his steam, so to speak, his zippity zooming! and in recalling his activities throughout the day, he realizes why and makes some changes in his routine to get it back! in the front of the book, there's a class picture, of zachary zebra's classmates. all their names follow the alphabet and it's fun to read them all.zachary loves reading this book with me. the pictures are great, especially the one of zachary zebra giving the teacher a big cheesy smile. he and his brother (10) LOVE that one! there are many small words in it "was" "mom" "dad" "bad" "luck" "bed", etc...and some more challenging ones "zinias" "flowers" "school" "zucchini". I have hime sound out and say the smaller ones (and of course, everytime he sees his name!) and i read the rest of the story, pointing to all the words as i go.all in all, you'll get lots of giggles from your little one reading this story. and a great way to fit in a reading lesson too.

Early reading fun.
I enjoyed this book & hopefully my grandson Zachary will too. Obviously designed to support early readers, the story has a moral told in a fun way.
