Works great for my cable railing. We bought some damn expensive cable railing from a specialty store and it held the steel cable all by tension and it SUCKED. 1,000s of dollars for the railing and after a day or two, the cables would just pull right out. It’s a rooftop deck so that made it extremely dangerous. For 100 bucks, this tool and some railing end bolts, my deck is now safe as can be and each cable is pulled tight with zero slack. This tool made the conversion very easy. I found when crimping 1/8 cable it took 4 “cranks” to get the right crimps. If you place the 2nd crimp too close to the 1st, the steel sleeve will bend. The picture shows the original cable railing and the crimped cable. Yea, the original looked very nice and clean but the cable could be pulled out with slight pressure.

Does what it is supposed to do but, being as short as it is, it is really tough to get that crimp in. I know all of these are pretty much the same but it sure would be nice if it was a bit longer so you could more leverage. All in all, it is getting the job done but it wears you out.

This is an amazing tool. Exactly what I needed. It does exactly what it needs to do. It is a strong tool that requires some strength to use but it is absolutely necessary to apply all the pressure you can so the stainless steel pieces crimp properly on the cable.

This tool is a must if your doing stainless cable fitting install. It is so powerful. Very simple to switch hydraulic power from off to on and the handle delivers amazing leverage to crimp the stainless fittings. Nice, organized dyes and working on a table made the crimping easier than free handing. Quality built tool.

I own a cabin high in the Rocky Mountains of Utah. I wanted to be able to see the landscape when sitting in my chair relaxing and also be able to lean on my railing. I just finished adding new decks front and rear. I decided to use pine logs right off my property to keep the cabin feel. I ordered a different brand of crimper and returned it because the box did not hold the parts correctly and the size of the crimper dies were not marked. This crimper works great with Steel DN Mate Swage Lag Screws. I crimped each swage twice and none came loose when I tightened them. Be aware after a day of crimping, you will have some sore arm and neck muscles! Cable Crimpers require lots of muscle. Recommended! I learned a few things along the way that were helpful. Nice crimping tool for cable deck railing.

I recently bought 4 products from Steel DN Mate: -The Stainless Steel Lag Screws for Wood Post of 1/8": Works really well with the tool provided. Because there are Left and Right screw, it prevents the cable from twisting. Good quality, really solid! -The 1/8" Stainless Steel Cable for Deck Cable Railing System: Great quality again! It comes with a cutter that works perfectly. -The Stainless Steel Protector Sleeves for 1/8" Wire Rope: Nice look for a finish on a wood post. I really like the way the sleeve can hide a hole that isn`t perfectly drilled. -And the Hydraulic Crimping Tool: Works perfectly for the Stainless Steel Lag Screws. I crimped the screws at two different places. It seems really strong, even with a lot of tension on the cables and the finish look is great. I am really satisfied with all of the products above. As you can see on the pictures, the finish look is awesome. It was super easy to install. Honestly it took me about 4 hours to install everything. I didn’t waste any screws or cable and no defaults were found on the tools provided. I would strongly recommend this company for your deck project. Overall, it gives a great look at a low cost!

Works as itended for a manual tool. You need a firm handshake to make this work. But it does wokk 100%
