Minwax 233334444 Polycrylic Protective Wood Finish, Clear Satin, ½ Pint

I really didn't know that I would like this product so much! Easily applied and an even, clear and professional finish as promised (even though I did it myself and with a dollar store-bought brush), good water proofing and stain resistance and no overwhelming smell to try to air out ever after. I thought it was pricey, as folks said. But surprisingly after finishing our new hard wood stair case and 50+ sqf of real wood tiles for our deck three times over, I still have half a can left... What to finish next?

Great Minwax polish. It looks good even with one coat, but two coats give the best finish. Completely satisfied with the results.

I bought this to seal a piece of unfinished wooden furniture, and it worked great! Just make sure to avoid dust/hair getting mixed into the sealant or else it will dry onto your surface. PROS: - easy to use - dries fairly quickly for applying multiple coats - sheer but still easy to see where you applied the seal so you don't get lost/confused - beautiful satin like finish, not too glossy but also not too matte - definitely helped make my furniture water-proof/scratch proof! CONS: - a bit smelly, but the packaging warns you so make sure to apply this in a well-ventilated space

This Minwax Polycrilic is a wonderful product. I have used it to refinish bedroom furniture, kitchen, tables, and benches. It leaves a flawless finish every time and has proven to be very durable, even with my kiddos rolling their cars and toys across all of the surfaces! I have been a repeat customer of this awesome product!

Everything said this wouldn’t yellow or affect the color of the piece I was refinishing. The official instructions never mention use on paint, only over stains. So, my mistake (?) for using white chalk paint underneath of this; all my research into this product prior to use stated it would not affect the color by any way, and is used to top coat seal indoor furniture. Even reviews online by others said it could be used in this way for chalk paint. Upon use it went on milky white (as expected) and dried with a yellow haze in streaks. This project was a long, time intensive process with multiple stages to refinish an antique. Using this minwax was the FINAL step and I was so disappointed to see the results. It looks like it lived in a smoker’s house for the past 40 years. I could never recommend this product if you’re trying to keep true colors underneath it; maybe for using over the top of stained wood, but never painted. I’m holding onto the product to test on stained pieces; but this much yellowing? I can’t imagine it would hold true stain colors either.

this product provides a nice coating to decoupage and wood alike... Great product and value for money

It is as clear as clear, guaranted. Have tried others who say they are clear and it wood goes off colour. Product applies very well. Could not get a perfect finish with a high quality brush so I’ll be spraying the final coats. It sets to a hard durable surface, with easy clean up after. Great product.

Expensive but worth it as it clears perfectly, dries quickly and washes out with water.
