Super classy - one of the nicest multi-function pens out there.
Really nice combo! Pentel makes good products, but this one is classy, even for them. Good combination of tips, feels great in the hand, has a nice big eraser (under a cap) and even looks good just laying on the table. I sort of like/dislike the continuous cycle through tips. I'm used to every other pen where it clicks in one direction, and back in the other. This one just continues to go around, which means finding the right tip by feel is not easy. Fortunately, their red pen tip has a red band around it. Other than cost (a bit pricey), this is an awesome pen.Update: love this pen/pencil more every day. I now like the continuous cycle (don't have to guess which way to turn), and it is one of the nicer, classier pens on the market. Works awesomely, as I'd expect any Pentel to do. I'm buying two more today. :)Second update: I still really love these. I have several now, and get compliments all the time on how classy they look. I think these are one of the better multi-purpose pens on the market. Now, that being said, I dropped mine on the hard cement floor yesterday and noticed that all of a sudden, my black ink wasn't flowing so well. In fact, it became almost unusable within a half hour. I figured I had just coincidentally run out of ink. After trying to find refills here (they're about four bucks each - ouch!), I found other people had commented that their ink had stopped flowing after being dropped (all black, weirdly). I'm guessing that the Vicuna "ball" inside the ink tube gets dislodged and the ink doesn't flow well. I may try slapping it around a bit (that's always the solution when something doesn't work -- whack it!), but I've ordered a couple refills just in case. This is the ONLY bad thing I've noticed about this pen. If it's a trend, then perhaps this is a manufacturing defect. I'm still likely to keep buying these, though, because they're better than all the competition. Write on! :)

Less expensive than Cross
Excelent alternative to the Cross brand

New fave pen
Love this pen. Writes well. Exactly what I was looking for. If turning the pen ever gets difficult or it’s not functioning, make sure the pencil tip is fully tightened. It can come loose and if you don’t notice, it will not function quite right.

Overall a worthy contender-- especially at $10. Keep eraser cap tightly screwed in place!
Very nice pen. Replacing a Cross Tech 4 the pocket clip of which became so loose as to make it impossible to secure it safely in a shirt pocket. The Vicuna is a bit bulkier than the Cross, and doesn't rest as comfortably in the hand, but is reasonably comfortable. The finish is very good, but, again, not quite as nice as the Cross. But, the Cross, in my experience, develops this problem I've mentioned with the pocket clip losing its grip. Then you lose the pen. Cross requires $10 plus your shipping expense to repair the pen, so, in the end not so practical.Enter the Vicuna. With the caveats mentioned, it is still a worthwhile contender for those seeking a highly usable multi-function pen, and for the price of the repair on the Cross, I think the Vicuna is quite a fair solution. Crosses are made in China these days and the quality that was once their hallmark simply isn't there anymore. Pity. One other point to make, and then I'll release you to continue shopping: The end cap that covers the eraser threads on and can become loose, resulting in loss of the cap. This is a weakness shared with the Cross Tech 4. If you are attentive to thread the cap down firmly after using the eraser, you'll likely be fine, but I somehow managed to lose mine. Wrote to Pentel to request buying a replacement and a spare or two in case it happens again that I lose the cap.

Blows away the B3 aviator pen.
This is a great pen for maintenance personnel in the Airforce. I used to use the standard b3 aviator, not any. Ore this is much better and cheaper.

Satisfactory
It's not easily noticed it's a changeable pen so right off i loved it. It's lighter than expected and writes well. 9/10

Great pen for those who need a multi-pen
This is a great value for a multi-pen with smooth writing black and red ink, along with a mechanical pencil. I like the feel and function of this pen a lot. In fact, I bought a second one just to have a spare handy.
