I love Golden State DOUBLE white mattes. They are acid free, very well made and they must have quality control because I have purchased massive amounts of these beautiful mattes and have never received a bad one. I mostly buy the 11 x 14 inch for an 8 x 10 image and the 8 x 10 for a 5 x 7 opening. I am grateful they come in larger and a smaller size.They arrive white ( no marks or fingerprints)arrive in an acid free wrap. The inner matte is cut to exactly the correct dimensions.I prefer double mattes with my art and the artwork I purchase. The double mattes really do make a difference in finishing a picture or photo off. It really does take your eye “into” the image and is such a lovely way to finish a piece off. They do have a gorgeous single matte I love that is very thick and beveled cut. It’s elegant and is perfect for more modern art but I have also used it for plein air paintings and equestrian drawings and sketches, etc.These Double White mattes are truly are beautiful, quality made and are cut uniformly so you can count on getting the same cut and dimensions every time. Especially wounderful if you are hanging sets or groupings of 2 to 12 pictures in a uniform way on a wall.

I don't usually take time to write reviews, let alone take a picture and include it, but I just had to write one for this product. These mats are wonderful! I was paying twice to three times as much at Aaron Bros. for the same thing. They include the double mat (which are attached), backing AND a plastic sleeve to keep the picture pristine in the event you are not framing right away or want to bring it to find a frame. I am REALLY picky and I LOVE these mats! I'll be ordering more.

I was surprized at the weight of the package when I picked it up from my front steps. The matts and backers are a nice heavy weight material that were packed in a very sturdy box. They look great. The first matt was used for a simple water color that my mother made on our last camping trip. The matt really makes the painting pop.

I ordered the white double mats thinking I could replace the inner mat with a colored one. However, the outer and inner mats are glued together so taking them apart is difficult and can destroy the inner mat. Nevertheless, I have separated several so far and used the outer mats successfully with colored inner ones (which I ordered on Amazon). Even though the inner mat might have to be discarded, the over-all cost is still much lower than having double mats custom-cut at Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

Really high quality. I made the purchase before they became unavailable as the larger mats with 8x10 openings. Great mats, but unfortunately they are probably gone.

I bought these mats for an upcoming art show and needed something clean and elegant for my art, while also saving me some time so I do not have to mat it myself (something I find very unfun). I'm very pleased with this product and the incredible price tag of the bundle!The mats are cut accurately and cleanly with the top double-mat being already affixed together so you do not have to do this yourself. The surface of the top mat is matte in nature, making it accepting of media, should I wish to embellish these by hand later.The backing is sized perfectly and the bags fit the mat, art, and backing board snugly. As an added point of luxury, the adhesive strip on the bag is on the body of the bag and not the flap, which is helpful for preventing this strip from damaging the art when it is removed from the bag.I've also included a visual aid of a bright white piece of printer paper shown beside the mat to show the degree of off-white the mats are. The mat is very subtly warm white in tone, while the bright white printer paper is cooler. This is something to keep in mind if you were hoping for a more dramatic cream or beige. The color of the top mat is closer to a very light off-white, as advertised.I will be purchasing these again for my future shows, especially if the price stays the same. I bought this bundle at $25.99 for 10 mats, bags, and backing, which is an insanely good deal!

Came double boxed and in perfect condition! Attention to detail in all the packaging. Mats are well cut and sturdy as are backboards. Clear envelopes fit well and close with sticky flap perfectly
