Very handy
My family and I really like using this sharpener made by Meuller. I've used it for several knives and a couple of scissors and they sharpened very well. I think the handle is easy to grip and the design makes it easy to use. The non-slip isn't as grippy as I would like. If I don't hold it dower, it'll slide.I would still recommend this sharpener to anyone looking for a great deal on a decent, effective and useful kitchen tool.

Good Customer Support
This appears to be a good product. Time will tell. It is very easy to use. I am in no way good at sharpening things, a testament to the scars on my fingers, but after using this tool I actually had a sharp knife. Granted, the first knife wasn't very dull to begin with but sharpened up nicely. Then I tried to sharpen a knife I recently purchased at a yard sale. This knife was duller than you can imagine. (Even I could not cut myself with it.) I did not have very good luck sharpening this knife. My son had to run it through his sander. After that I had no problem getting an edge on it. I think I should periodically sharpen it after each major use. Now, as to customer service: I received the sharpener in good time. However, the box appeared to have been previously opened -- the ends of the box were frayed. And the cut-resistant glove was missing. I sent e-mails to the seller explaining the problem. They immediately offered to replace or credit my Amazon account. I told them I only wanted to receive the glove. They sent it right away. I appreciate good customer service. All sellers should be this conscientious.Added 3-24-22: I have never been able to successfully sharpen scissors, but this sharpener makes it so simple to get a new edge on scissors that this alone makes this sharpener worthwhile.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW. Amazing product. You can rotate and flip the rods.
I am an experienced knife sharpener; over the past decade spending about $300 on the Lansky five stone sharpening kit, a high grade mono-crystalline diamond plate, a Japanese water stone, and a few pocket sharpeners. I came close to getting a $500 Tormek because hand sharpening had become a chore. If only I knew years back about this particular sharpener. It re-beveled and sharpened 4 german kitchen knives in less than 2 minutes. It also re-beveled a thick dagger made of an extremely tough steel. That took a while because there was a LOT of tough metal to remove. But this sharpener did not let me make mistakes and the results were perfect. This sharpener works for curved and double edged blades (such as a dagger or kukri). The sharpening angle seems to be about 17.5 degrees (35 degrees inclusive). This is perfect for kitchen slicers but too thin for bushcraft or tactical blades. For those, I use this sharpener to get an excellent 17 degree edge, then I use a $4 Pocket Crock Stick sharpener, fixed at 22.5 degrees, to re-finish the edge with a secondary bevel. Bottom line, for less than $20 I can now sharpen any knife regardless of blade type or curvature. The rods are held in a rectangular housing that snaps out for cleaning. The metal dust falls into a tray below it. HERE IS THE HUGE BONUS. Pop off the metal cover on this housing, remove ONE screw, and the housing comes apart so that you can rotate the rods for a new sharpening surface. You can also flip them. You can toss the metal cover because it does not hold anything together, although it does have "fine", "medium" and "coarse" embossed on it. Just make sure that you do not mix the coarse and medium rods, which ar ethe same color. Dab them with a marker before removing the screw and you'll always pair them up right. After many hours of sharpening (mostly that tough dagger blade), and knowing that the rods can be rotated and flipped, I am convinced that this sharpener will last at least a decade. I bought 2 more because they are under $10 and I want to to be set for life.As to the few negative reviews, they must be instances of a defective product or not following directions. Hold the blade upright, pull straight back and slowly with little pressure. Since mode blades are curved a bit, sweep your hand up (or down, as in the case of a karambit or kukri) to keep the edge (where it contacts the rods) parallel to the floor. Sharpening does not get easier than this unless you pay a pro to do it.
