what is the longest length of the side bars, I need to know if it will fit in my car, to be transported

It coming jn parts, the longest part is set from two smallers parts, so it should fit in car with no problem. Box with all parts had around 140cm heights

Does the single bed come with the middle support?

No it has no middle support leg , just one leg either side in the middle of bed frame .

Once assembled can I remove the legs for vertical storage when not in use?

No as legs are are part of the outer frame once removed outer frame would collapse
