Well thought out and easy to digest
Training can be overwhelming. This book, and all the climb strong books provide logical understanding of what climbers potentially want to accomplish, and how to work towards that. If you are serious about getting better at rock climbing, this book is solid gold.

Lots of good content
If you have read or listened to any of Steve Bechtel's material, you know the type of quality content you are getting. I have this book, Eric Hörst's training for climbing, and the Anderson brothers training manual. All 3 are slightly different styles with some overlap and worth having in your training library. All of these guys will even tell you there isn't one plan for everyone. Read often, research what works for you, and if a program is providing gains then stick with it!

This book is going to change your life
Everything about this book is amazing, very clear, and data-backed approach. Its not a cookie-cutter instruction guide either. So if you are either a pro or brand new to climbing, this book is HIGHLY recommended.

Didn’t get much out of it
Book jumps around and falls short of actually helping you create a training program that you can implement. TLDR is you can alternate strength, power and power endurance days.I’m sure it contains some good information if you take notes, collate them and synthesize them into your own program.

Not easy to understand
It’s easy to tell how passionate the author is! I think he has great concepts and ideas. However, I found this book incredibly challenging to process. It felt like it didn’t linearly follow how to create your own plan with how it was written. I jumped throughout the book constantly. I’m a little bummed because I thought it would be more straightforward. Maybe it’s better suited towards personal trainers/coaches that already understand how to form a program? It didn’t feel beginner/intermediate friendly!
