Please be aware if considering this collar for smaller breeds. We purchased this for out Shih Tzu who was being neutered, making sure that we pre-measured his neck to ensure that we had the correct size.The day after his operation he developed a large haematoma in his eye, understandably we rushed him back to the vets. The vet said that the haematoma was caused by pressure from the inflatable collar. We removed the collar and replaced this with a more traditional see-thru 'cone' shaped collar and almost immediately saw an improvement in his eye.Please think very carefully about considering this for your dog and monitor them very carefully if you do decide to go for one.

My Westie had cruciate ligament surgery and I wanted to spare her the lampshade if at all possible! We tried this inflatable collar on her a couple of days before surgery so she could get used to it and also to see if she could reach her knee, of course she didn’t oblige us with an attempt at the latter 😂After we got her home. It went on for bedtime and I won’t deny she definitely looked a bit awkward trying to sleep with it on but she seemed okay. It definitely prevented her getting round to her knee but she was able to chew/lick her paw. We bought a Medium because I didn’t want it too snug.After a few days of full-time wear, she progressed to just wearing it at night and she didn’t complain or try to move away when it was time to go on so I’m guessing she didn’t hate it 👍🏻 Would definitely recommend as an alternative to the dreaded lampshade.

Very easy to fit . My dog had a cone fitted at the vets after an op - he could still get to the stitches and pulled some out . I fitted the inflatable collar behind the cone as an additional measure and he could not reach the stitches. He also uses it as a cushion when laying down . I put it on him and it’s stayed inflated and in place for a week now ..

Bought a large that was deemed suitable for labradors (he's 6mths old so not fully grown) - fits fine but doesn't actually stop him getting to his undercarriage, merely makes it a bit harder. If his wound was on his bum, he'd have no trouble gnawing at it.Would go for a traditional cone next time.

brought for the dog as he's started to suffer from grass allergies and the vet recommended to get a collar to help stop him biting his feet and it worked. He only wore it for a day but it was the best thing for him. I love the fact its inflatable saves a lot of hassle with the plastic ones that you can get from the vets
