It does protect the bunion when wearing shoes/trainers. In fact, I keep them on in the house as it protects me if I bump into or dro things!

Amazing for arthritic big toe!
I don't often send reviews but these deserve a mention. 50 and arthtritis setting in (bone spurs developing). Had arthroscopy last April. Walking I love and have struggled with distances over last few years. Left big tie was becoming unbearable when walking (I have an odd big toe that sticks upwards so puts pressure on underside and calloused formed). Since wearing a pair I've found walking much more enjoyable. The difference is unbelievable. I get a little discomfort every so often but then it goes. So the practical part, easy to put on although when I've put my socks on I usually have to position it again. Once in place theyre comfy. At times it reminded me a little of flip flops, have something between your toe when you think about it, but nothing to worry about. I regularly walk 5-7 miles at a time and they're fab. Plus you can wash them too and 5 pairs in a pack, great value for money. As with all things, one size fits all approach isn't always the case but for me, life saver

These are quite comfortable to wear with socks and shoes and can eliminate rubbing and irritation. I would buy them again.
