Instructions are garbage
This kit looks amazing when you first open it. Then your kid chooses an experiment and the frustration begins. There are so many great measuring tools yet the instructions say things like “add 3/4 of water” (everything is label in mL) or add a spoon of X (there are spoons of different measurements). We tried the Blow Ballon by Water experiment 3 times. It says “add 2-4 spoons of citric acid”... why not say the exact amount? We tried 3 spoons and the balloon shot off. We tried 2 spoons and the balloon shot off. We tried 1 spoon and the balloon wouldn’t blow up at all. We also tried “Volcanic Eruption”, even though I hate messes, and nothing happened. My little scientist and I are very disappointed and she hasn’t asked to do any more experiments since “because they probably won’t work”.Edit: Downgrade from two stars to one star. The company reached out to me offering me a $20 refund to change my review. Nope. Nope. Nope.Edit 11/9/21: The company AGAIN offered me $20 to delete my review.

CONTINUED HARRASSMENT BY SELLER 11/18/2021
11/18/21 seller has now contacted me again 15 times THIS November, sometimes more than once per day. Avoid purchasing product at all cost.TOTAL NIGHTMARE 01/31/21 Seller has now contacted me SEVEN times by email and I have filed a case complaint with Amazon. 01/18/21 UPDATE: seller has contacted me FOUR TIMES NOW to try to get me to change my review. My review was not unkind but honest. I RECOMMEND NOT PURCHASING FROM THIS SELLER FOR ANY REASON!!!Box was in good condition. Items inside were broken and contents spread throughout box. Which isn’t great when you want those contents for science experiments. Containers were quite flimsy, and whole kit seemed very cheaply made. Was a present so it got returned.

Bought for our 7 yr old grand daughter.
I liked the set for my 7yr old granddaughter nicely packaged and well organized. Kit includes lots of items and better quality than many I have seenthe one negative is the instructions for the experiments. they are confusing. the first experiment for example says use a spoonful of..... but gives you 5 different size spoons....so which one. it said fill tube with 3/4 water. the tubes are marked in millimeters so why not say x millimeters of water. it also called for 10 drops of detergent (not included) but doesn't say what kind of detergent. we made it through experiment number one even with those instructions and it was a big success and she lived it. We look forward to the other 29 and will probably repeat them too. I give this a 8 out of 10 and would recommend it.

Quality and Quantity of Materials is good
Kit is well prepared. If you are only doing the experiments once, the material was enough. However if you want multiple kids to do their own experiments you’ll need to have extra supply of baking soda, or citric acid. It’s great for elementary level ( my kids are 6 and 9 in 1st and 4th grade). Easy concepts to understand. They enjoy the ones we’ve done. I would buy again.

Best science experiment kit yet!
Bought this for my aspiring scientist 11-year old. He is going to absolutely love this set. It comes with some great experiments, and unlike other science kits the whole set (besides the chemicals/additives) is re-usable so he can use it over and over for whatever ideas he can imagine. The photo shows a few extra beakers and graduated cylinders that I bought in addition to the set, but the set alone has a huge amount of items to work with. There are also two more baggies full of experiment supplies and a book of experiments inside the blue storage tub. I’d definitely suggest this for any kid (or adult) interested in science experiments.

Not a science kit
This kit was obviously written by someone that not only doesn’t understand science but also doesn’t understand English. I’m a physicist and it is often unclear what to do when reading the directions and there is no scientific explanation of anything. When your scientific kit includes “rainbow candy” “magic sand” and “color changing flower” you can assume that your kids aren’t going to learn too much. Save your money and buy a higher quality kit that is written by someone that understands both science and English.

Great Gift & Activity
Purchased for four year old birthday gift. The gift has been thoroughly enjoyed and the experiments have been fun. The experiments do require parent involvement for younger age kids but still lots of fun to be had; my almost 9 year old enjoyed helping his brother with the experiments as well. If you don't have time to do the experiments your child can easily pour and drop things in and see what happens. The only thing I wish was that the food coloring was a bit bigger bottles but easily replaceable.
