Expert Espresso Great, Expert Coffee...Not For Me
I love the Expert Espresso capsules, in fact, I think the Expert Espresso Intenso X2 (double) and single shot Espresso Intenso capsules are great, some of Lavazza's best. Also, Expert Espresso capsules work wonderfully in the Lavazza BLUE machines. What I don't like are the Expert Intenso (and Classico) "Coffee" capsules or "8 oz / 240 ml" coffee capsules. They are completely different from the Espresso capsules. The 8 oz Coffee capsule has a secret, namely it has instant coffee in it, and I just don't care for it. To be fair, I pulled a Lungo or large espresso shot with it, about 3 oz, but I still didn't like it. I didn't realize these were "Coffee" capsules, and that's probably why they tasted so bad. They tasted stale so I opened one up and there it was, instant coffee sitting on top of ground coffee combined. To make a long story short, I recommend all the Expert "Espresso" capsules, they are some of the best capsules for Lavazza Expert and BLUE machines, but I personally would avoid the "Coffee" capsules (unless you like instant coffee).

Delicious coffee!
I got a Lavazza coffee maker for Christmas this year, and I’m obsessed. No other coffee tastes like this, and I prefer coffee at home to Dunkin now too.

Not for Kuerig
The coffee is great. I did not know it was not for Kuerig and I opened them for my drip coffee maker and made a pot. 5 capsules per pot. Everybody enjoyed the coffee.

WHAT? Instant Coffee... MISLEADING & CUTTING CORNERS - VERY DISAPPOINTED!
Main Picture in ad does NOT indicate they are now using "instant" coffee in their blend. This is extremely disappointing coming from LavAzza in Italy! Italian coffee is some of the best in the world and they are now blending "instant coffee" into these capsules. I have been using the original Caffe Intenso (pink box) coffee capsules for years and these have really gone down hill and taste just awful to me. No real creama on top and a bitter, weak flavor compared to old one. C'mon LavAzza, instant coffee, really!?! Same price with less quality. Return them to previous quality and charge more, if necessary. Sorry you can do better. I would return them if I could. All that said, if you’ve never tasted the original capsules you may like them.

At a price of almost a dollar a capsule, it’s disconcerting to know that this is a combination of ground and instant coffee. It would be less of an issue if the coffee had a great taste, but the “instant” aftertaste shines through brightly.
