incredible
I play at church. So, I need to grab my instrument and play a song with about a 20 seconds notice. I did cane reeds for about 8 years. And I'm wanting some way to make this reed have the right moisture in it when it is time. Keep the reed in your mouth. That would work, except that introduces a whole bigger problem. Put the reed onto the mouthpiece. But this is the answer that finally works. This reed is impervious to liquid. It is always the correct moisture . It sounds great. I went and bought an over the reed moth-piece cap. So I can just leave the reed on there. With a reed expensive like this, you don't want to chip that tip.OK. Now it has been a year. I've been playing the reed at the very minimum twice a week for a year. My love for the fibrecell is even greater. But now, finally I guess. The reed is all worn out. I would never expect a cane reed to last for even 10% of this time. But I guess it does cost 10 fold more expensive. So now, I got another for Christmas. By and by it is the same cost. But this fibrescell has a lot more to offer. I will be back as necessary.

Deal with this seller at your own risk!
The “soft” reed is WAY too soft to use. Seller is refusing a refund even though the description chart is inaccurate, and/or this reed is defective. Deal with this seller at your own risk. They aren’t standing by their product for me. Will they for you?

Way too soft
I made the mistake of purchasing mine from the company. Since I use a soft reed I ordered the soft. It is great for hitting those low notes and making them sound good. By the time I are up to F it was getting buzzy and by middle C it sounded like a bunch of spit under my reed. Anything above a high D is awful if you can start the note at all. If you decide to give one a try then order a stiffer one than what you think that you need.
