Relic: Blade: A Kane Arkwright Supernatural Thriller: Relics Book 1

I enjoyed this a lot. It’s got witty banter, interesting locations, twists and turns galore, and it kept me reading right to the end, when I immediately wanted to jump into the next book.Kane is an excellent protagonist that I think compares well to some of my favorite male leads in other series—attractively arrogant but forgivably so. Rebel is also great, but what I love is that I get to see her through Kane. Their dynamic is excellent—Kane respects her, but he also fears her. It creates phenomenal yet dramatic, sexy tension. She’s wild and untamable and some of the best moments are when Kane attempts to assert dominance over her in how they conduct business—who decides what, which person leads, and all that. But that tension and conflict contrasts in a pretty gorgeous way during moments when they operate perfectly as a partnership.This is an action-oriented story but there are calm moments within the storm and they remain with me still, many months later. The characters have real depth and dimension and just might become favorites that stick with me for many years.As a fan of the witty banter in Firefly (and probably Buffy, though I never really got into that as much) and the banter and dynamic between the leads in Warehouse 13, this book really appealed to me!

I enjoyed this story. Kane and his friends are good characters. They seek vampire relics in this action-packed book. Lots of action, humor and twists. Kane and his friends face vampires and other supernatural creatures. I will be reading the rest of this series.

I loved the book, can't wait for the next one. It is full of adventures and supernaturals. I would recommend the good to people who love adventure books

Treasure hunter, thief such a fine line. Think of this as a bloody quest. So far no romance but it did have a cute twist

Quick and amusing read, interesting characters that need to be fleshed out more. Looking forward to more in this series.

This book is great! I love all the characters. They are very well written and the world building is really cool. There's a neat magic system, too, which fits in really well with the world Ben has built.

A stunning adventure and unfolding storyline in this Kane Arise ight supernatural thriller with a mix of great characters. I loved it. The story tells itself. A wonderful read.

I have trouble believing that Excalibur would be evil. I guess the writer thought that it would make the the book more interesting. It did not. The book eas good other than that part about Excalibur.

Relic: Blade is a fun fast paced urban fantasy, with great characters and funny writing. This is well worth the admittance fee.

This is a great new urban fantasy series with a winning combination of action and laugh out loud humour. There was action from the start with a great mixture of the familiar and new about the supernatural characters. This story was addictive and kept me wanting to read more even though I knew I had to get up early for work in the morning?! I see the makings of a great new series and absolutely cannot wait to read more!

When I read the blurb I was excited to see what this book would be like. There was a real potential for it to be great. But it was quite a let down. The mentor drove me absolutely crazy, and not in a good way. The relationships between the characters was all over the place. The storyline didn't flow. It was hard to continue, but for some silly reason I kept trying, in hopes it would get better. It didn't. Definitely won't be picking up the next one.

Took a chapter for me to get into it at first but once i got there it was a great read and i loved it. There is lots of action and supernatural/mythical things to sink your teeth into and if you enjoy that type of thing then this is going to be a book for you

If you like urban fantasy then you have to read this. Kane, Rebel and others are such realistic ans likeable characters and the storyline, tho slow slow to start, keeps you gripped. So looking forward to the next book
