Strange mojo
This pedal is an odd one, because it's sometimes meh, and other times, if you are in the mood, the most incredible mojo machine. It's not like a fuzz face etc. more like a bloated distortion pedal with massive gain, but that would probably be a bad description. You have to try it to know.

Good fuzz pedal
I have owned many fuzz pedals in my 54 years of playing electric guitars. I ended up with none, so in missing the sound I tried this one since I am on a tight budget. After watching a few videos I was convinced that this fuzz pedal is fine for my needs. I was pleasantly surprised. Traditionally I would place my Big Muff or Fuzz Face in front of my wah wah. The Azor fuzz works well there as well and gives me the sound I want. However I place it between my drives and modulations. And it works great there too. The one thing this fuzz does not do is clean up like a Fuzz Face. Other than that it is a great fuzz.

Affordable and sounds pretty good for the price.
Chose this one, Silver (AP-303) over the Yellow (AP-310) because I wanted the volume control that you don't get on the Yellow version. Important? Yes, if you want to have a worthwhile adjustment for your sound and would rather do some tonal blending versus just the straight on uncontrolled level.I don't have much experience with fuzz pedals but I can say this one is very noisy as pedals go. I use an (individually) isolated power supply so I may need some type of filter in front of this pedal? The width control seems to be the major noise creator. With some time and tweaking the noise is manageable so it's not totally crippling to use but will take some time to figure out. That said, it definitely DOES do the job though with a healthy amount of fuzz that's great for blues and rock, also by lowering the volume a bit on your guitar it gives you a nice amount of distortion that is very fun to use with some analog or digital delay. If you're unfamiliar with pedals I highly recommend the Azor line to try out before you plunk down $100+ on individual pedals or even more on boutique pedals only to find out you don't like it or can't use it.
