3-Side Cold Shoe Mount Adapter Camera Hot Shoe Bracket for Flash Light, LED Video Light, Microphone, Monitor Mount

This is a replacement for a flimsy handle arrangement on a video adaptor kit for a digital camera. I had a metal "L" handle for an off-the camera flash to replace the flimsy plastic unit it came with. I just needed more slots to mount the mike and the LED panel. One star off for not having any sort of a stop to keep mounted equipment from sliding through. A quick trip to the hardware store supplied a button head short bolt to fit and a nylon washer big enough to cover the slots at the front. Has enough holes and threads that it should be able to cover a lot of needs. It's all metal, well finished, shoes fit well, locks solidly into the handle's shoe. The mounting shoe can be removed if needed, a hex wrench is supplied. The resultant assembly is sturdy, not flimsy, and handles well. A win from the misc. surplus equipment bin and this.

The holes where the screws go in do not have adequate clearance for flash hot shoe connector pins. If your flash has rigid / unslanted pins, your flash WILL get stuck.To get it out, you have to use a screwdriver or something to push it down from the other side. If you do this on the top cold shoe and haven't already disconnected the bottom attachment, congratulations, you are the proud owner of a permanent off-camera flash.If the above happens to you, a machine screw extractor will remove enough material so that you can extract your flash safely.This should be in big capital letters in the product description.Otherwise, well made.

Solves the exact problem I had. I need additional cold shoe mount space because the rig I have only had one built in so I bought this slip it into the cold to mount. And now I have three cold she mounts which is perfect to be able to add the additional things I need to do it whether it’s the lights or two lights microphone a flash there’s other options available now because I have the additional amount spots. It’s nice and sturdy and install super easy

Rock solid and high quality. I like the rubber under the lock knob and the additional threaded mounting holes.

This little gem is a problem solver ... good item for a gadget bag or tool kit.
