The story and art in this book is incredible. Very gory. Recommend this to anybody who likes these sort of books!

I picked up BRZRKR Vol. 1 after hearing a lot of buzz about it, and I’m glad I did! It’s an intense, action-packed comic with a unique premise that had me hooked from the start. Here’s my take after finishing the first volume: Pros: Great Artwork: The art in BRZRKR is absolutely stunning. The action sequences are brutal and beautifully illustrated, which really pulls you into the intense world that’s being built. The colors and details are top-notch and give the comic an edgy, gritty feel. Engaging Story Premise: The plot is intriguing. It’s about a half-human, half-god warrior who’s lived for centuries and has a brutal past. The backstory is fascinating, and I’m definitely curious to see where it goes in the next volumes. Fast-Paced and Action-Packed: If you’re into high-energy, action-packed stories, this one delivers. There’s no shortage of fights and explosions, making it a thrilling read for those who love that kind of intense action. Keanu Reeves’ Involvement: It’s no secret that Keanu Reeves is behind this comic (he co-wrote it), and his influence is felt in the character development and overall vibe. If you're a fan of Reeves, you can definitely see his touch on the story. Cons: Shallow Character Development: While the action is great, the character development could use more depth. The protagonist, B., has an interesting backstory, but the volume doesn’t dive deep enough into his motivations and inner conflict. It’s more about the action than the emotional journey, which left me wanting more. Predictable Plot at Times: While the premise is fresh, some of the plot points feel a bit predictable. It follows some familiar tropes, and there were moments where I could guess what was coming next. Violence Overload: The violence is graphic, which is a major part of the comic's style, but at times, it felt like it overshadowed the plot. If you’re not a fan of excessive blood and gore, this might be a bit much. Overall: BRZRKR Vol. 1 is an exciting, action-packed read with gorgeous art and an interesting premise. It’s perfect for fans of high-stakes action comics, though it could use more character depth and a bit less predictability. I’m excited to see how the story develops, but it’s definitely a comic that’s more about the spectacle than the emotional depth.
