Smooth flight and extremely hardy.
This is by far best RC plane, I have tried. Size is perfect for smaller park and it can really take beating. After many crashes it is still looking almost new with no fractures 😄 I tried hobby grade planes from eflite or hobby zone, they turn cripple in minor landing mishaps. I highly recommend this plane, specially if you are new to the hobby. Thanks.

This plane, and frankly any of the other similar versions of the same (whether it be from Leambe/Volantex/Rage RC), all perform exceptionally well for their size. They can take a bit of wind, the stabilization handles exceptionally well, and boy can they take a beating. I now own two, this model and the Corsair from Rage RC. Both fly about the same, can't tell much of a difference. This one can fly marginally slower than the corsair due to the wing structure. As for the abuse, I flew this one at about 2/3 throttle into a goal post trying to be fancy. It connected with the inner leading edge of the right wing, prop flew off, plane spiraled about 20 feet away.. slapped the prop back on and away it flew. Both this and the Corsair have taken enough abuse that eventually the wing assembly began to separate from the fusealage. In both cases, I took a hobby knife to them, made a clean cut along the seam, and using Foam-Tac glue, I tacked both wing assembles back on and they both continue to be a joy to fly. What's great about these little planes, is you don't really need much space to fly. Once you've developed your skills enough, they can be flown in a pretty small space. Of course, having more room is more enjoyable, but not necessary. To try and simulate a test on how much load the wings can bear, I took my corsair into a vertical nose dive from ~100 feet up, at full throttle, and pulled out of the dive at about 20 feet off the ground. Zero issues. I love these little planes. Two of my buddies have since purchased a similar version (from Leambe i think?) and they both love em. I've since started getting into larger planes (my first being the Carbon Cub S2) which is also a lot of fun to fly, but in a way, I think I like these little ones better simply due to their versatility. Anyway, enough ranting. I hope this review helps. I know it would have helped me before buying, but if you're interested at all in trying out RC planes, for ~$100-$110 all in, these are incredibly fun, and boy howdy do they look good flying. If you do purchase, check out some of the 5-pack battery/multi-charger combos using the 400mah battery packs. If the connecter looks the same, they'll work, and will let you enjoy flying near continuously for an afternoon. Great starter planes, I hope this helps people make an informed decision. Just keep in mind, the other 400mm planes are all basically the exact same thing should you like another model better. good luck have fun

Great plane
This was fun. Got it for my grandson who is crazy about planes and he loved it. We crashed the heck out of it and only broke one of the landing gear off, which I was able to repair myself, and it’s still flying. I’d but it again.

Great RC planes for beginners and novices!
These little planes are great. They take a licking and keep on ticking. In beginner mode it handles extremely well, the gyro function is impressive. Intermediate mode give a fair amount of additional control without letting you get out of control, and then when ready the expert mode takes off all the training wheels and let's you go full acro. It handles up to 10mph winds (suggested in beginner or intermediate mode to help stability). Typically I fly without the landing gear to allow for more speed. The prop will simply pop off when landing and then just pop it back on for the next flight. The prop saver is very clever. These are an amazing value. Random people who have seen me fly these in the open field in my neighborhood have ordered them and have joined me. If you're looking at these, do yourself a favor and pull the trigger, you'll be happy you did.

Fun, simple, durable plane with some pep
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I almost never write reviews but this little plane is awesome. Great for me as a beginner, fun, fast enough to giggle, and I’ve crashed it a million times and it keeps coming back for more…so durable. Does loops with the push of a button, and in general the perfect first RC plane. Yes you gotta fly when there is NO wind, yes landing is super hard, but I just crash into the grass and it’s perfect still. Three other neighbors have bought them. The RTR with batteries, controller, and prebuilt plane is just awesome!

Some are OK. Some fail for no reason.
Returning my second plane which was a replacement for the first one that failed. This one the elevator quit working. Dead. Most likely the servo.. Have had 4 of these war birds They are great to fly but don't expect a long life with them. No crashes, just failed. Update 10-15 25: Returned faulty P51 Red Tail and ordered P51 Miss America. It looks like a toy compared to the other versions. Spitfire looks very realistic. This version only has paint where it is blue and red. The gray area in the illustration photos is unpainted ans is bare foam. If you want realism, this model is not the best choice. See picture. Hopefully it functions correctly for more than one flight. Will update after trying the plane.

Outstanding R/C airplane for beginners and experts alike
I was skeptical at first since it was just styrofoam; however it has actual ailerons, an elevator and rudder that are all controllable. The transmitter has 3 modes, beginner, moderate and manual. In beginner mode, it is extremely easy to fly. The control system is very intelligent for a styrofoam plane. No matter how much you push the aileron in one direction, it will only do about 30 degrees of ban or so. You can add a little rudder to make the turn sharper, but the system will prevent the plane from rolling over. If you want to do aileron rolls or loops, there is a trick button you can press on the remote, then add the aileron and it will do a roll perfect. The plane always returns to level flight. It is actually simple to land as well. You can cut the power completely and it will glide perfectly. You’ll get about 10 to 15 minutes of flight time on a battery charge. I would definitely purchase this again. My ONLY complaint is that the control surfaces are attached by a thin piece of foam that allows the aileron/rudder/elevator to bend. Over time, continuous bending of the control services may cause it to break free. I wish they would have used small plastic hinges.

Poor product!!!!!!
This product is junk. It’s made out of Styrofoam. It’s very nose heavy. Did not last longer than three seconds not appropriate for an adult or a child. Thank you.
