EXCELLENT product!
Wow, is this a great coffee press! Love the double screen - no more floating grounds in my cup. The solid stainless one-piece design of the carafe is GREAT; our previous glass beaker broke when it was dropped, and the shards were so sharp and dangerous that I finally decided to abandon glass altogether. So glad I did - I'm spoiled for anything other than french presses, and this is the best one I have ever used. Absolutely worth paying a little more, and I anticipate it lasting a very long time now that I have used it for a couple days and seen how it is constructed.I used to be a slight coffee snob, but over time I've settled back into real-life coffee habits. I still prefer to keep my coffee in the freezer, and grinding myself when I can, but even cheap coffee tastes smoother and better with a french press. If you haven't used a press before, consider this a big thumbs-up for choosing them over drip, Keurig, and even grandma's beloved percolator...I have tried them all, and I keep coming back to a press. If you're on the fence between this and a K-cup, keep in mind that unless you get separate inserts and use your own coffee, most of the K-cups tend to cost over fifty cents a serving. Even with an insert, you still have limited control over how strong your coffee is. And - bonus! - this makes up to three or four cups at a time, and the double-wall will keep things warm longer. You can use plain old cheap coffee, and no extra insert cups to juggle in order to do so (if cheap bulk coffee tends to seem a little harsh for you, try crushing up an eggshell and tossing it in with the grounds before adding water...smooths it right out). One thing to note if switching from something else - think about how you'll heat your water. If it's not something you like to do separately, an all-in-one unit of some kind might be a better choice for you.(end review; if you're a fan of french presses, and can dig up the funds, you might check out the review I just posted for the InSinkErator H-WaveSN-SS hot water dispenser - it's a big expense and a luxury item, but makes the issue of hot water a whole lot easier!)

Customer Service Rocks It
Update on Initial Review Below:The seller noted my negative comments about my original orders for this product. They reached out to me, apologized, and offered me a new pot gratis. It arrived in beautiful shape a few days ago and I have used it happily since then. Very nice product, backed by beautiful customer service. One last thought: I am that person who had had a glass french press explode, and been standing barefoot in a thin nightgown covered in broken glass, steaming coffee and coffee grounds, at 5 am. Not as funny as it sounds. The lack of glass alone makes this pot very desirable, but the fact that it makes delicious coffee and looks good too means this is a terrific buy.__________________________I've purchased two of these now, and returned them both immediately. The first one had a scratch and a dent and had clearly been returned previously. The second one had scratches on the handle and was poorly welded. It was also discolored in places. Clearly, there are quality issues with this made in China item. That said, it is lovely, or would be if you could find one without flaws. I can't speak to the coffee it makes, as I never got a chance to make coffee in it. However, I imagine it would do as well as any french press, with the added benefit of the double-walled insulation.

NO PLASTIC components!
What an awesome way to make coffee!I have serious health issues with plastics. Heated plastics are the worst for me.So, looking at the pictures and reviews of the product, it seemed it was one of the few that had NO plastic AT ALL! And it was completely correct. NO plastic components! Yay!I love that it is insulated, so the coffee is still hot, when I go back to finish it! That was a big selling point for me, as I have little ones, and it would surely get cold, before I could finish it, without the insulation.I wanted to do a taste test, like another reviewer did, with my drip coffee pot. I did not taste a big difference. But that is totally fine, as I never had a problem with the taste of my coffee.I am so excited to use my coffee pot each day. I thank my husband for it, all the time, as it was a birthday gift.It is beautiful, Easy to use, & Makes awesome coffee!

good quality and quite sturdy
This press is well made, good quality and quite sturdy. The coffee is still pretty hot when I come back for my second cup. I have been putting the second cup through a filter, as it does have the typical French press sludge. I am happy with it.I did ordered a drip maker as I prefer a pot that is ready, and that is the way that I most enjoy my morning coffee and ritual!! I broke my drip machine about a month ago and have been researching and trying healthier ways to make coffee than a drip machine. I miss my pot of coffee!! I feel like I have found a drip machine that has less plastic and no aluminum. Fingers crossed that it makes good coffee, too!

Great quality, low price; best one I've ever owned
This is the fifth French press I've owned, and it is by far the best. All of the others were cheaper glass presses, and each one lasted an average of one year before the glass carafe broke (usually by me dropping it in the sink). If I'd known this one was available at such a great price, I would never have wasted my time on the glass ones. Most of the other stainless steel presses I looked at cost at least $60; this one cost only a little more than a typical glass press and is super sturdy and extremely well-made. Don't waste your time on the glass presses, and don't waste your money on the more expensive stainless steel ones.

Stars for good effort and almost...but doesnt stay hot.
The stars are for how lovely the carafe looks. It is very nice. We are however disappointed that the coffee does not stay hot for even a full hour which is why we purchased it. It holds a decent amount for two people. My husband happens to awake earlier than I do...and makes the pot of coffee. We were hoping when I go to have my coffee within an hour later that it would still be hot...but it is Luke warm in an hours time and I have to heat it on the stove which defeats it's purpose...for us. I'm sure it's perfect for the right situation, which is why I gave it 4 stars.
