Works as advertised, easy Apple Home setup.
Easiest Apple Home setup I've done so far. Lots of settings, versatile, and so easy my other half uses it via Siri as much as I do — and she hates Siri. All controls I need are in the Home app.

Cool bulbs, great features, could have a higher lumen count
I installed this two pack of bulbs in my office where I've been working at home for the past six months or so. Installation was as easy as screwing in a light bulb ( I sense a how many people does it take to change a light bulb joke here...moving on). Setup was a breeze as well, just open up the Meross app, click the + sign at the top, select smart bulb and then follow the prompts through setup. I experienced zero issues setting up the bulb, which is something I cannot say for some other Mercury brand smart bulbs I own that can be a pain in the butt. These smart bulbs give you the ability to easily control not only the color of the bulb, but also the temperature (2700K to 6500K) of the bulb. There is a spinner will that gives you preset temperatures. This is important when I work in the office as I don't like the bright white / soft blue temperature (6500k) and prefer the warmer 2700K. I put the old bulb back in the other socket and then adjusted one of the smart bulbs to 2700K and I can not tell a difference between the warmth of the old bulb next to the Meross smart bulb set to 2700k. Needless to say, I really like this feature.Adjusting the colors of the bulbs are just as easy. There is a spinner wheel of colors to choose from. The colors change quickly; however they could be brighter. The one thing Meross needs to add is a way to match colors on multiple bulbs. Right now I set a shade of blue for bulb 1 and then have to get a close as possible on bulb 2 to get them to match. A way to pair the bulbs with the same color would be helpful.I really only have two minor cons. The first is that there is no preset scenes in the app that works with the color mode. Some other bulbs I have used give you the option to set scenes like a rave or Christmas or disco. Its not necessary, but I personally think it would be a cool feature to add.The second con really applies to every smart bulb that I have bought over the years, is that the lumens need to be higher. A higher lumen count would make the bulb brighter and it would really help when you use the bulb with a set color.Overall, I'm very happy with the bulbs and at this price for a two pack, its hard to beat.

Easy to setup and install
I've recently added a few Meross smart WiFi LED Bulbs to my smart home setup. The bulbs were quick and easy to install and integrate with both my SmartThings hub for inclusion in scenes & automations, and Alexa for voice control. The bulbs have been reliable thus far, in terms of showing the correct status within SmartThings and being able to control via Alexa. As far as improvements are concerned...1) I do feel the bulbs should have a brighter maximum setting. They are not as bright as some of the other bulbs I have.2) While on/off status in SmartThings, inclusion in scenes/automations, and Alexa voice control have all been good... control of the color is a bit buggy. Utilizing the color wheel in SmartThings does not seem to be totally accurate all of the time (it will show a Yellowish color in the app, yet the bulb will sometimes appear green, for example) - same with the preset colors in the Alexa App. Utilizing the Meross App to control color seems to be more reliable from an output standpoint, but I've found that the App itself freezes or the rotating color control wheel is non-responsive.I'm not sure if these are software compatibility issues or actual hardware issues, but I would like to see them resolved.Overall, I give this 4 stars. Meross has developed a well-made bulb and is able to offer it at a great price. Though I'd appreciate a bit extra brightness, if the software/compatibility issues are worked out, I wouldn't hesitate to give 5 stars.

Apple Homekit-easy, priced to please, colors (meh).
I got these via free promotion from meross after using a couple other meross products (outdoor outlet, garage door opener). I've had them for several days. The price is good enough that I will buy more if they last. They were dead easy to set up in Homekit, which I did out of the box before installing the meross app. In the Home app (click +, Add Accessory), scan a bulb's code (see images) and screw it into a live socket. It takes a minute but mine both paired without incident.I moved both bulbs to a two socket lamp behind my iMac to use them as ambient monitor lighting (see video). The non-primary colors were the worst offenders for accuracy, but I was mainly concerned with the 6500K color temp (ideal ambience to minimize eyestrain). The Homekit app doesn't indicate the temp by number, unfortunately, but the meross app does.A reviewer said the bulbs don't stay connected to both apps simultaneously. For me, both apps kept the bulbs connected just fine. I set the color temperature in the meross app, switched to the Home app where it registered the change which I then saved into my "At Work" Automation. As reviewers have noticed white settings can be much brighter than multi-color settings. Both modes were adequate for my ambience purposes, but readers will appreciate the brighter white levels. Overall a very good product for the price, but color accuracy could be improved.

Great value and function at a reasonable price!
We have a lot of smart devices in our home — locks, voice assistants, appliances, Hue Lights, and now Meross lights and smart plugs. We love the convenience of these devices, however the convenience came with a luxury price tag until we found Meross.Meross is so affordable and in some ways even better than Hue. Meross bulbs are directly compatible with Apple HomeKit, without need of an expensive hub and without the hassle. (In contrast, each Hue bulb in our home connects through a Hub, making them all inaccessible as a whole when Hue pushes an update to their hub. While updating, the lights can’t be turned on or off, they flash sometimes, and we can’t change brightness or color. It’s an absolute pain when we’re sleeping or on a video conference!) Since Meross bulbs are all individually connected, I expect we won’t have the same issues as with Hue.A few nitpicks, which may be possible to resolve through a firmware update:(1) there’s a bit of delay when adjusting color, so it’s not as easy to find the color you want as it would be if they changed in real-time;(2) The lights and Apple HomeKit color presets / color wheel seem not to be synced up perfectly, for instance a peach color in HomeKit displays a bit green on the bulb. It takes a bot of exploring on the color wheel to figure out how the colors map.To us, these nitpicks are really acceptable and at this price point we may never buy Hue again.I definitely recommend Meross.

Glitchy/Defective Products, Terrible Customer Service
UPDATE 4/26/24Another message from Meross "customer service" asking me to try even more to continue to troubleshoot the issues I've outlined below, and after trying for HOURS to resolve the situation, I'm finally giving up. Meross is obviously going to do everything possible to avoid replacing the faulty product or providing a refund, opting instead to try to exhaust customers into just giving up altogether and considering their situations a loss. So be it, I can do this, but I firmly believe potential customers need to be aware of the fact that should they experience similar issues as mine, this is how the manufacturer/seller is going to handle their situation. My advice? Keep your packaging so that you can exercise the Amazon A to Z guarantee and hope your issues manifest within that 30 day return window - it is the only possible resolution you will get.UPDATE 4/23/24I was contacted by a representative of Meross to attempt to troubleshoot the issues I'm experiencing with these bulbs. I took all steps suggested to try, and nothing resolved the symptoms. A couple of days later, I was offered a refund for my purchase of these bulbs. I accepted the offer, and the very next night (I'm assuming like many companies, customer service is located overseas so replies don't come until the middle of the night if you're in the USA), now I'm being asked to troubleshoot even more - meaning the offer to refund for the faulty products is no longer on the table. Shady. I've had everything from wifi issues suspected by their customer service (despite literally just replacing my entire home network equipment with Mesh 6 devices by Deco a week ago) to resetting bulbs (which doesn't work and is time consuming) to blaming Apple Home, even though the Meross app itself is even buggier and has more glitches than Home could ever dream of.Overall, I am very disappointed with this situation and how it has played out from the start. Should something positive eventually come out of this scenario, I will update again, but as of now, I'm assuming there's going to be no successful resolution to the problem at hand and I'm still going to have to find another viable - RELIABLE - alternative. Original review follows.ORIGINAL REVIEWI decided to change my home over to Apple Home Kit versus previous all-Alexa after Alexa continued to experience issue after issue after issue. This meant EVERYTHING in my home needed to change - light bulbs, lamps, smart plugs, cameras, literally everything. (Alexa REALLY made me mad when things would continue to go offline, stop responding, alerts would lock up hubs and devices, etc., so the expense and time was/is justified to me.)I found these highly-rated Meross smart bulbs and thought, "Here we go, something that is Apple Home compatible, so this should be easy and straightforward." I was right about that - I initially ordered 20 of these, then on the same day ordered even more. (I have a LOT of lights in my house.)The first few days were great, except that Home keeps changing light color and intensity in the app. For some reason it can't seem to remember settings in automations, and I'm not sure if that's an issue with Home or Meross. But that's not even the worst part. The worst part is that a few more days into it, and for some reason the WiFi chips in these bulbs seem to just stop working. You will get a notification in Home that the device has stopped responding, and removing it from Home and the Meross app itself and trying to re-add it doesn't resolve the problem. The bulbs still get power just fine, but they absolutely will not connect to the network. After experiencing this with 8 (yes, EIGHT) of the bulbs I bought a few days ago, I have to consider this is a design flaw, which is not only inconvenient, but EXPENSIVE. I thought that in order to get the Home Kit certification you had to provide a better product than this, but apparently QC measures aren't adhered to once certification is obtained. Now I will have to go back to the drawing board and find a better option, especially if my attempts at reaching out to Meross and this candid review illicit no offer to replace my defective items.

How many customers does it take to screw in a *Smart* lightbulb? Just you!
I've had good luck with other Meross products (garage door opener, smart plugs, etc), so figured I'd give these light bulbs a try. I sure am glad I did. These light bulbs connected very easily. You plug them in, launch the app and they just connected the first time. No hub needed. No troubleshooting. Super easy. And since I have my Meross app connected to my Google Home and Alexa apps, the light bulbs magically appeared in both apps without any prompting. It is as easy as screwing in a lightbulb! The different lighting options for the bulbs are well thought out. You have your typical blue, purple, green etc (not sure when I'll actually use those, but they are nice to have to impress the kids!). The real feature for us adults are the multiple "white" options and the dimmer function. The different white colors are great - bright white for when you're reading or a softer white at night for watching tv. The dimmer functionality in the app is easy too - just drag the circle from 0-100%. I also noticed a very fast reaction time for these bulbs. Almost no lag from when I call on them to do something in the app or via my Alexa and Google Home. One final thought - I have a ceiling fan/light combo that uses a remote control. I always found that annoying - remote would go missing, batteries would die, etc. I briefly considered swapping the whole thing out for a smart unit, but I just used one of my smart bulbs in the fan light and it works great! I can't believe I didn't think of that earlier. The price for the 2-pack at $13 is very affordable. There might be others slightly cheaper, but I have confidence in Meross products and am willing to spend a few more bucks. There are also plenty of expensive bulb options out there as well - I couldn't imagine what those would give me that these Meross bulbs wouldn't. In the end, I plan on buying many more of these Meross bulbs to add to various locations around my house. You should too!

Quality Bulb, Terrible HomeKit Integration
In short, if you use Apple HomeKit (Apple Home) look for a different brand. I've tried for over a year to consistently join these bulbs following all instructions & troubleshooting but once a bulb disconnects from the Home for whatever easy, it's nearly impossible to reconnect. I have other bulbs that work with HomeKit and they generally connect on the first try.If you do get the bulb connected, it works well and provides very decent light. I have found the color selections are good, but it can be difficult to get a warm white that is not too dim. Overall the bulb quality is good, but it is frustrating if not impossible to get it connected to HomeKit despite the claims to the contrary.

It has everything you can ask from a smart bulb, at a very convenient price. / Desde mi punto de vista la mejor bombilla considerando: durabilidad, conectividad, facilidad de uso de la aplicación y el área iluminada. Tiene todo lo que se puede desear en una bombilla, a un gran costo.

EVEN BETTER THAN THAT OTHER PH BRAND
Wow! As someone who has bought-in to the entire Apple infrastructure, I gotta say… These are the very best smart bulbs to integrate seamlessly into that structure. And I have to admit, they are even better than those original smart bulbs by PH which first aligned with Apple.Unfortunately, I had fallen hard for those PH bulbs a few years back. They were not only hyper-expensive and very complicated to set up, but almost immediately I started having issues with that brand. Fully half of those PH bulbs I had bought no longer function properly at all now — constantly dropping out, flashing on and off randomly, flickering and refusing to remain off when powered off. And no amount of troubleshooting (I’m a techie) has corrected those issues. I will never return to the PH universe ever again — not now after discovering Meross products. The thing I truly appreciate the most with these Meross HomeKit enabled bulbs, aside from their amazingly low price compared to PH and their incredible friendliness with Apple, is the fact that their app is so intuitively simple, uncluttered and uncomplicated — yet very highly reliable and effective — pretty much mimicking Apple’s philosophy with that whole “KISS” acronym… Keep It Simple Stupid”.They have, indeed, kept it simple, by pure virtue of… 1) the extremely easy setup of any of their devices. I’m using over a dozen plugs and now multiple bulbs as well… 2) all of their devices are about as close to “plug-and-play” as it can get without actually being plug-and-play (at least not yet anyways)… 3) absolutely incredible connectivity strength and dependability with instantaneous responsiveness, but make sure you’re using only a 2.4g connection… 4) it’s total integration with both Apple HomeKit/Siri and Amazon Echo/Alexa (I use both throughout the house) is truly remarkable, so I can only assume Google and other integrations might be the same… 5) their discoverability and intercommunicative ability with so many other smart home apps, like Eve, for example, when using ifTTT automation correlating with home atmospheric conditions. In short, these bulbs are just outstanding. One thing I will leave you with, though, is this… Contrary to what Meross states in their user’s instructions, DO NOT set them up in the HomeKit app first. That process is actually quite buggy. Set them up in the Meross app first AND do a firmware update. It’s a far easier and much more do-able process. Then once that’s done, your HomeKit, once launched, will already populate itself with them automatically. But that’s just for their initial set up. All other settings and tweaks can be done easily with HomeKit after that.
