I have shopped around a little bit for a replacement tweeter for my home system, and I am extremely satisfied with this little 1" dome tweeter. Parts Express is a wonderful company with the perfect product for any of my audio needs. I have zero complaints about the tweeter's performance as far as sound quality goes, a little feed-back but I don't have a clear signal going to the tweeter. As for price, perfect for the high school senior.I highly recommend this speaker for anyone trying to make a nice, quality sound system.UPDATE 5-9-2015:I've had these tweeters installed in a pair of self-fabricated bookshelf speakers and they sound great! I didn't have any crossovers or anything on them, just straight signal from my receiver and I have recently found they play frequencies which are a lot lower than their response says they can play, and there is way too much midrange noise and a little distortion. I purchased some capacitors to act as high-pass crossovers at 1,000 hz (1 khz), and they sound absolutely flawless!.
