case is not as advertised
i just go this unit. this was advertised to be enclosed in a aluminum case but it is in plastic casing .i don't know if it has miss shipped or just miss advertised.please advice.

Not very accurate.
Using to set up a dial bore gauge, instead of using a micrometer. There seems to be a .001" error in the setting fixture compared to a Starrett micrometer. Not sure what's wrong with the setting fixture. I hope to be able to correct it. A .001" error is too much for a race engine rod or crankshaft measurement.

Absolute junk! Plastic calipers are more precise.
Only parts useable are the gauge blocks. By the time I re machine and fix the problems I could have built my own.And I know better than to exchange it, I will get another turd from Taiwan!What ever happened to American Pride and Quality?
