Perfect fit 2006 Silverado
Simple install. Correct replacement for 2006 Silverado OEM

Works good. The only problem was I couldn’t turn the plug into the backplate. Too thick. Had to bend the backplate to make it turn into place.

Easy to replace. Be careful and patient removing wire harness from old connector
This was a very easy install once I whacked the bracket close to flat. I had left my fifth wheel plug connected a couple of times and pulled too far forward after unhitching. Oops. The last time broke the retaining stop off the cover and bent the hell out of the bracket of my 2006 Sierra 3500.I went to pull my fifth wheel and found the connection was intermittent so the brake connection came and went. I got lucky to bungee it for the short drive. Clearly, I needed to replace the connector. I never paid attention before deciding to replace it, but I was thrilled that I didn’t have to rewire the bugger. If I hadn’t damaged the bracket, this would probably have taken the 10 minutes that others mentioned.My rear harness connection on the original connector had dried dirt that required a lot of wiggling and patience to remove. I think you could damage the harness side pretty easily if you rushed. Last, I was glad they included some dielectric grease, esp. for the rear harness side that will probably never see the light of day again.

I don’t know what stretch means. But the part was easy to install I had to plug the trailer in to twist it hard enough to lock into place

It’s so-so compared to OEM....
It works...easy to twist into place just like the original and works on all circuits...It’s light duty compared though...Door spring is much weaker, plastic is thinner, rattletrap once clicked into place, the whole piece just feels less substantial.... And the tab on the door allows the plug to have a LOT of play... OEM locked the plug in tight with little to no wiggle room, this one almost lets the pins pull out enough inside the socket to break the connection...But....... It works.......
