They give you good starting points. adjust as needed, but most settings have been spot on for me. definitely helped in my welding classes.

This is a nice set to get volts amps and gas if needed to a useable range to weld with. plastic coated for long life and a nice resealable storage pouch.

Very helpful for a beginner. Provides amperage, electrode for material type and thickness.
