Love the front zip bc I HATE the choking feeling of full neck wetsuits. Much easier to put on. Seems close to a 3mm, but can get ‘cold’ for longer dives; I might add an under vest for extra warmth. I’m 5’4 avg 125 with a Crossfit upper body shape and got an 8. Go 2 sizes up from ur avg clothes size (I’mabout a 4), or 1 size up based on measurements from Lava Core website. Fits great!

When I received my Lavacore suit, I was so excited - but then I tried it on. The arms and legs were slightly long but the worst part was that I could barely zip the suit over my bust - and then it was uncomfortable to breathe. The tag inside just said "SM" (there was no indication if it was a men's or women's) and I fit well within the women's small size range listed on the Lavacore website -- actually my bust is 2" smaller than the range listed in the sizing chart! I was very disappointed that I had to send it back! I also think there should be a choice of colors instead of boring black - but I could have lived with that if the suit had only fit!

I usually wear a 4 or 6. The size 6 was like size zero. I couldn't even zip up the size 8. Finally settled on a size 10, but the sleeve openings were so tight, I could barely put them over my hands, even using plastic bags. I was colder in the water with this suit than without it. It was so heavy when wet, must have weighed ten pounds. And takes forever to dry.

I wrote a review for the replacement I had to get. Any new purchaser really needs to look at the breakdown of what the size includes. I normally wear a 4/6 in clothes so I ordered as such. However when I received the wetsuit I couldn't even get it over my shoulders, i.e., height is VERT IMPORTANT! Description, delivery and performance of the size that fit are 5 star rating!

This is absolutely perfect for diving in warmer waters like the Caribbean. I don't withstand the cold usually but was at 70 feet in April and very comfortable. This is so much easier to put on, take off and especially pack than neoprene! It is also easier to clean and much quicker to dry.

I went to the lavacore web site for sizing and it fits perfectly. I use it as an extra layer under my wetsuit in the winter works well.

Love this suit. Keeps you warm without being heavy or too thick. I ordered a 12w and it fit snug, but thank goodness I got the w. I can't imagine what a normal 12 would fit like. It would have been much too tight.

Love it! Easy to put on, and pretty warm for how thin it is.
